          Started mine tonight. Worked about 1 1/2 hours (these do NOT go fast for me) and would say I’m about….1/3 way finished?? Maybe not that far… Hey! I’m brush painting and anal about errors, cut me some slack! 🙂 Plus, I am intimidated by who I am painting for…..LOL

          I have two ideas for my person, so I’m going to paint both and see which turns out the best! I started one over the weekend and will see if I can finish up on both by the end of this coming weekend. 🙂

            Awww…Don’t be so intimidated! I’m sure it will be beautiful. I do not have an airbrush either, and I hand paint everything, yes…it takes a bit more time, but the control is un-matched. (I am pretty anal ’bout details myself) ^^;

            Sometimes putting down the paintbrush, and taking a break helps you clear your mind. I will take a step back after either a coffee break or a lunch break and re-evaluate the piece. I never plan a piece out before I start. I just go with my first instinct. I have full confidence in my “Inner Muse.” 🙂

              Don’t feel bad. Even the tiny windstones seem to take me eons to paint!! I never even finished my poor muse, eek. And the wee griffin chicks took me forever, each.

              I haven’t finished one of my muses I started ages ago either! I’m breaking out my mom’s sewing magnifying lens to paint one of these guys!

                Holy tiny figurine, Batman! These guys are HARD. I’m thinking I’m about 80% done, not including touch ups and sealing. And that took me several hours.

                  I finished mine :^ I’m nervous though I was given free reign so I order 2 extra so that if either come out better one of them will get sent instead.

                    I’ve had to work work work this week, I’m looking forward to relaxing with my pup this weekend. I’m nervous too, I have free reign. I hope I picked some colors they like!

                      I’ve been working a whole lot these past few weeks, and lately I’m having issues with slight mental break downs where I don’t want to do anything at all… but I have started my shishi. I just need time to sit down with him again. This is the first time I’ve painted a shishi… and when I first sat down with him I stared at him for a long time. No inspiration with these guys at all for me. Strange. Maybe because he’s my first.

                        I’m finding that the “one colour” schemes work for me on these guys, so 2 or 3 colours overlayered. I did an ivory pearl which worked awesomely (for me, anyways), and the one I painted for the swap is in the same line of thought. Nothing else comes to mind otherwise…
