So I’ve looked into a few image hosting sites, and I’m thinking of going with imgur. Does anyone with experience with them want to comment on them? I’m looking for a place I can hide the images from all searches and other users on the site, but still imbed them here, and the site doesn’t spend time policing their “you must own the copyright” policy if a copyright owner doesn’t complain.

Which photo hosting site did you go with? Â I need to find another one now too. Â I am so disappointed in photobucket that now none of the photos I have posted on here in the last 5 years are showing since photobucket changed their policies. Â I am ticked at them they would do that with no warning and just expect people to pay a bunch of money a month now for third party image hosting. Â Is there a not too painful way to take all my photos off there and put them on another site?

I haven’t switched to a final site yet. I am using my flickr account for the time being, but their policies effectively don’t permit showing pictures on WordPress message boards like this one. Their policies require a link-back, but WordPress won’t accept the code they supply for that. I have to manually delete it from every link I get from flickr.
I did find an easy way to download all my images off photobucket. All my images were in a single album. From the library (Your Bucket) page, there is a bunch of links on the right side of the page labeled “Actions”. One of them was “Download album”. I clicked that, and it prepared a download. Once it was ready, I clicked download. It zipped all my photos into a single file. Since these were the only photos I had on photobucket, it didn’t take very long to download. If you have multiple albums, you will probably need to download each separately.
