11/5/14 Grab Bag Baby Poad picture thread (Hoppies and Hippies)

Here’s mine!

The colors are just amazing; the blue in particular is really vibrant.

Alright, pictures of the first two, incoming!! My mother is not a master photographer so I had to do some minor touch-ups with photoshop to overcome shadows, so the colors on your monitor may not be 100% accurate, but they ought to be close.

This is the li’l red eyed baby. I totally didn’t notice it when my mom showed me him on Skype, but he actually has some blue around his feet. I really adore his little chest markings. Somehow they seem very masculine. “Look at my dangerous red chest! Ribbit-Chirp! I mean…. what sound do I make, anyway?”

Hoppy number two! Not quite rainbow-y, but a good transition from red-to-blue. I think it actually starts as a deep red on its top-most part and becomes a kind of carmine-y to orange color about midway before shifting to blue, but unfortunately these photos had some extreme shadow going on in them so it’s hard to say with much certainty.

I also got to see the third one finally. It is a very, very vibrant blue-and-black hoppy with matching blue eyes. I think it will go really well with my Blue Morpho sculpts. Actually, as a collection, the three hoppies I have now could be seen as siblings. I was pretty concerned about wanting one with at least some blue and one with red as well, and I seem to have gotten both those colors in spades, so I cannot say I’m displeased. As soon as I have pictures of the third, I will post those as well.

Still, I am debating possibly ordering one or two more for myself for Christmas. I really wanted some in other colors (like purple, or green, or most especially that blue and brown fellow), and with black eyes. I will consider it after payday, which is actually coming up this week. 🙂

Oh very cool Lasohaney! Your last one looks like a sister to mine with the purple, blue and red markings! So many pretty ones so far. If my other box shows up, I will have a couple more to post next week too hopefully!

Wow! I so wish I coudl get more of these guys but they sure are fun to look at here too <3 Congrats everyone! They are all beautiful!

I got my Hoppy today! Gah, I am going to have to buy another one, they are just too damn cute!

My Hoppy Poad is one of the black-eyed ones (so cool!), with orange markings on her head and cheeks (and a big black spot on each cheek), and the orange markings shifting to a gold yellow and down into blue as they meander down her back, with the large black patches all over her back. Most of her lower half is a really lovely blue, with smaller, rounder, black spots on her sides. I noticed if you look real closely (something I don’t know if I would be able to even catch on camera if I were able to take pictures), she has ghost spots in the blue… there is some interference on her blue areas, with spots of blue showing through, to give her some subtle dapples.

I couldn’t be any happier, she is perfect. I at least wanted something with blue or green, and red or orange on her, and I got that, plus a lovely spotting pattern, and those awesome black eyes. 🙂

LindaS, yours makes me think of bubbles rising from deep water. I love it.

Edit: And provided these guys are still here after payday, I am definitely going back for another one of these. Maybe two if kitsune are not going to restock for Christmas.
