The Tanglian wilderness is on a lower level than “home”. This world is not a round planet. It is shaped sort-of like a flat bottomed, wide, wedding cake, with sheer drops ( remember when they sprouted wings? http://windstoneeditions.com/veligent-page-50) between different levels.
So “down here” means in the Tanglian wilderness.
Yes, I remember the wings and Kade goofing around at the edge of a precipice!
Do the rebels only live on the lower level? How much of the territory does Serence rule (in theory)?
The rebels own the right side of the “Dissever” river, in the Tanglian wilderness. Serence does not rule that part, Ayonah gave it to the rebels. You’d think this would decide the matter.
Serence is king over everything else; the entire home world and everything to the left of the Dissever river in the Tanglian wilderness. http://windstoneeditions.com/veligent-page-53 The islands are in contention, technically they belong to whichever side they are touching and are neutral territory if they don’t touch a shore. The Dissever river changes its course occasionally.
(This world doesn’t have north or south because it isn’t a planet)
I have only hinted at the politics of this world so far, but it will crash this party soon.
