The scatterbats are really getting an eyeful! Still hoping that Podge bites Serence and improves his attitude – he’s so much more mellow when he’s seeing giraffes – but I suppose that does not count as a medicinal bite.
The colors of the girls’ clothing, faces, and hair are much brighter in panel 4 than they are in the last panel. Don’t know if that is intentional or not.
Heheh, for the last several pages I have had the suspicion that ‘the Big Cheese’ was in love with a demon, was then spurned, and is now unreasonably out for blood as a result. All is fair in love and war after all. 😉
Lol, no way could I ever come up with this crazy world of yours, or match your heart-warming plot delivery and humor! I just love trying to find hidden twists in everything I read, watch, etc. X-D
…..my second guess would be it’s a doppleganger trying to start a war of course. 😉
I was kinda wondering about a double of some kind. There’s still that other security guard unaccounted for.
And what was that set of symbols over Serence’s head when Kade jumps on his back.
Swearing? Or did whatever or whoever is playing Serence tip their hand.
And can Serence be possessed by something?
I’m not up on all of Reptangle so I don’t know the ins and outs.
By the way – a fantastically intricate and well realized world.
And, while it’s late, the frame of the Demon, hackles up and growling on the previous page is AWESOME .
I sure wouldn’t want to face something that looked like that.

The whole plot of the long “Reptangle” opus, of which this is only one story, has to do with finding out what the heck is wrong with King Serence. Kade’s analytic and curative skills will be challenged in later stories… which I haven’t posted yet.
There are still guards and archers (and General Ramsel,Tannis and Berm) up on the rock pile above. I think the third male guard might be hidden behind the word balloon.
Do you mean the first symbols in panel 2? Those are just muffled words of surprise and dismay.
but the symbols in panel 5 are an order given in Etherian.
It is easy to “paint yourself into a corner” writing a comic. Kade learns that military orders by the king are given in “Etherian”, so in panel 2, I was stuck with the necessity of the king giving orders to shoot the demon in Etherian. I tried to make the symbols look like he was saying “QUICK SHOOT ARROWS THAT WAY>>!”.
When I print this book , Ill include footnotes to clear up stuff that is confusing. Comments help me see what I need to explain! Thanks!

But poor Kade’s feet look perfectly better in panel 6 compared to panel 2.
