The Veligent – page 115

I see one spelling error I missed already!
Scatterbats are those eyeball-looking things that you may have noticed around in some of the backgrounds. Scatterbats are a communal creature that moves around as one thing, but is made up of many individuals all connected together. They report to Shihiv. Shihiv’s job is to rid this world of evil doers.

    Is Serence actually able to fire a veligent, or dismiss him from the king’s service?

    Sure he can! He can fire him from the post of field Veligent, and, if the king really gets pissed, he could have a Veligent stripped of his rank entirely.
    Lark might swear at Serence in Etherian for that, however.

    How long did he last, 48 hours? Interesting way to introduce Shihiv, also!

    I get the feeling these two didn’t interact very much while growing up…

    Not even! This is the evening of the first day on the job, so about 24 hours.
    They had a very close relationship when they were kids. They still do, though it is hard to tell.

    Get up and irritate Captain Pol
    Learn about camp and check over medical supplies
    Hike to forbidden area
    Frolic in water
    Irritate Pol some more
    Save wounded soldiers
    Rescue/heal severely wounded prisoner
    Scuffle with guards
    Have screaming match with king (instead of punching him for intolerable smugness, probably a good decision)
    Get fired
