We lost him yesterday unexpectantly and he passed in my arms telling him how much I loved him.I pray he heard me.He was the best dog anyone could have wanted at their side.He was recovering from a fall and was up walking, wanting to go in the yard.I thought all was well and he would fine. Then I looked over at him and saw he looked wrong. He pawed at the floor twice and I was at his side holding him.He passed in a matter of 2 minutes.I am devastated. He was my loyal friend for 13yrs..Talk about a double whammy.I lost Frodo last month after 14yrs,Gandalf now,Jeff got fired yesterday.WTH???!!!My heart is in a billion pieces and I can hardly see.Remember everyone, life is so short and death comes in a second, literally.Cherish everyday with those you love.
Love may he live.My most beloved friend.
Every act matters. No matter how smallš

Male Hearth....one dayš¤Dream on.July 22, 2014 at 1:54 pm #916047My condolences for you Mi š It’s always so hard to lose a pet, they truly are like members of the family and we feel the same grief when they pass as when a family member does. They give us all of their love and we can only hope that we give them enough in return. It sounds to me like you and Gandalf were perfect for each other, and I am sure he knew very well that you were holding him and telling him you loved him in his last moments.
*hugs* Please let me know if you need anything.Commission spots are currently closed! Please message me for details.

I remember when my dog passed away while I was working on a cruise ship a few years ago and I never got to say goodbye to him. I was so sad. Why does it seem bad things seem to happen all at once? That has happened with me before too. I hope things get better and that Jeff finds other better work.

July 22, 2014 at 2:14 pm #916052What a handsome fellow. I am so sorry for your loss, it’s just heart breaking to loose a furry loved one no matter how it happens.
July 22, 2014 at 2:16 pm #916054Oh no, IĀ“m so sorry for your loss.
I know how hard this is. But at least it seems like he was allowed to go because it simply was his time.
IĀ“m certain he felt the love you gave him in his last moments.July 22, 2014 at 2:28 pm #916055Hugs. Today is not a good day for dog lovers. You have my heartfelt sympathies….we lost Mish this morning as well. All I can tell you is once you get over the shock of loosing them at home in your arms, it is a little easier. My Shion died at home next to me in bed last March, and it was just a better death. Cold comfort. but know I will light a candle for your boy along with mine this evening.

Words escape me… Big hugs your way. 14 years is a long time for a dog – we’ve had to face the same reality a few years back. It doesn’t change anything, you’ll miss him all the same, but you had the best fur friend you could hope for.
Hugs again, Michelle.

July 22, 2014 at 8:11 pm #916088Bodine – so sorry about your beautiful dog. I remember the pain of my dog’s death and I know that the passing of a pet is one of the worst feelings. It’s nice that he was with you in your arms, though, and I’m sure he took comfort in hearing your voice.
~hugs~
Good luck to your husband on finding a job, also.āStormbreeze
