I haven’t been able to concentrate on painting this last week so I decided to sculpt a bit instead. This is my take on a baby unicorn. I am making a mold and will see if it needs further carving. I have something new to try to get these casted, hopefully I can make it work this time! This little one is about 4 inches long and 3 inches tall. What ya think? (ignore the various colored lines, I was planing out fur and other things)

March 24, 2013 at 6:02 pm #895110I am still working on this. I will post some more when I get a bit further, I added a base to it because the edges were too fragile in several places. I have to carve a few spots a bit deeper and make another mold yet. Hopefully I will get more time to work on this soon, I almost caught up on all my commission work! I also have a small sea dragon started >.< But there is nothing much to see yet. He is mostly a clay blob and some sketches lol.

April 6, 2013 at 8:44 pm #895539Super, super cute!!
April 6, 2013 at 9:14 pm #895537A test paint in brown with the base I added on =) I finally found a way to get workable castings so I have a couple more on the drying rack and will cast some more next week. I also cast a couple of the little dragon sculpures I did early last year so I will have a few of those soon as well!
I was thinking about colors to start with. White, dapple gray or something else? What do you guys think? And what color for the little dragon to start with? I only have two each so far, but more are in the works.
I will also try to get pics of my sea dragon later today. Phase one is complete on him so there is actually something to see now 😉
HUGS
*edit* And phase one of the sea dragon
