Ok…how long have you guys been collecting & how many pieces are in your collection? I know it’s always growing, but I just want an idea of how much catching up I need 😀
For me I’ve been collecting about 3 years, but just now seriously started! My very first piece was a brown male dragon. Then for about 2 years nothing. Then I was messing around on Ebay and I ended up with a Black Gold OW Proto. Then I forced myself to quit for about a year, then happened upon an estate sale where I got many smaller pieces for cheap, mint too. Just last week I got a Special Gold Scratcher and a white mother on Ebay (still waiting). So far I have a whopping total of 9 pieces! bawaghahhhahah TOP THAT! 😀

I got a male and mom from my brother over 10 years ago… then nothing till about two years ago when I got on Ebay. Since then I have grabbed everything I could get my hands on. I think I was making up for lost time.
September 12, 2007 at 12:05 pm #615893I have one production Windstone and two PYO’s…wow eh? 😆
I just found Windstones earlier this year, and as a fourth year university student it’s not like I have a lot of extra income to devote to them yet. I’ve got a Em Pea Curl, a PYO dragon and a winged wolf. Really hoping to expand on that in the future!
September 12, 2007 at 12:32 pm #615894I really started to collect seriously over the past 2 years. Before, I had a flion, a male kirin, a peacock young and hatching that had been given over 2-3 years when I first started university. Then for 10 years, nothing, until I realized pieces were retired. I hit ebay and tada! 20 productions pieces and a bunch of pyos.

September 12, 2007 at 12:52 pm #615896I wonder if ANYONE has all the production pieces. How many regular production pieces has been produced?
September 12, 2007 at 12:54 pm #615897Hmmm… Windstone collector might. She has a LOT! Dragon Master may also have most of the dragon production pieces. Check the Show your collection threads.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmSeptember 12, 2007 at 2:52 pm #615898I’ve been trying to collect since I was 8! But I never had enough money to afford one until about 6 years ago when I got a griffin candlelamp. Now I have around 10 Windstones, mostly due to the kind folks here that were willing to trade with me!

My art: featherdust.comSeptember 12, 2007 at 3:13 pm #615899I started collecting around 1996 and purchased 2 pieces and then another 7-8 over the next 10 years or so. In the last year and half my collection has reached 55 (give or take).
I have seen where several members had over 100 pieces. One collector who has sold off most of his, but at one time had around 700 (multiple duplicates – all mint and boxed). Others on the forum only have 1-5 pieces, but I would still consider them nice collections.
September 12, 2007 at 3:47 pm #615900I started collecting in the late 80’s…my originals are the griffins and large flap cats, as well as the peacock father, mother and hatcher. I just did a rough count and came up with 130 , including about 15 or so PYOs. I really didn’t realize I had that many…lol I would say I had about 35-40 before I joined the Forum…
September 12, 2007 at 3:58 pm #615901I started collecting around 15-18 years ago. I had a Emerald Male, female and I can’t remember what else I had at the time. I decided about 2 years ago that I wanted all of the Emerald peices and I have accomplished that goal. Now I am working on getting every peice in every color except for peacock, brown, and white. The last I counted I had 150 and I have gotten more since then. I think I have around 170 now including PYOs that I have painted and others have painted, but I will have to re-count. Mine collection has definately grown quite a bit since I joined the forum.
September 12, 2007 at 4:44 pm #615902I’ve only been collecting Windstones for 6 1/2 years. Bought my first one (baby kirin) Spring of 2001, and haven’t looked back. I’d wanted them since 1989/1990 or so, but was still of single-digit age, so had to wait.
As of this moment, I’ve got 67 pieces (mixed production, LE, LP) and 16 PYOs (only one is a personal one… but so far unpainted).
September 12, 2007 at 4:54 pm #615903I saw Windstones in the mall when I was in middle school….but I wasn’t allowed to get any because they were too expensive…but when I got to High School I put some on layaway and didn’t tell anyone
so I started off with just the 2 Siamese flap cats because that’s all I could afford….
that was about 13 yrs ago….and now…I have over 150…and if I include PYO’s about 200..but that goes up and down as I get new and get rid of PYO’s…
I have a lot in boxes including candle lamps and some things I prolly forgot I had… 😯
September 12, 2007 at 5:03 pm #615904I got my first Windstones in 1998/99. I started with a Black Mother Unicorn and a Baby Pegasus. When I joined the forum I had 9. Now I’m up to 21 (plus three PYOs intended to be gifts).
