and I had to comment that an F-250 super duty diesel Lariet is a waste of money for us. Seeing how the F-150 we have now get driven once a week, only if it is nice enough to go to the car wash, since I have my own car and he has a company truck. To which he replied “you have 3 grand is ornaments, shut up” π― π , he just doesnt get it I guess. He kinda gets this glazed over look when I talk about what ever goody I have coming in the mail, I imagine it is the same look I get when he goes on about how strange his ranger sounds when it shifts because it is a 5 speed unlike my 3 speed car, whatever the hell all that means, .

Hahahahahha!!! At least he has a hobby, too. π My BF can go on and on about his shoes, so he tolerates me and my Windstones.

I dont know it changes from one day to th next, he want a diesel, but seriously he bought the F-150 last my, its not even a year old, it doesnt even have 10,000km on it, we dont use it, and most of that is hihwya, from going to Edmonton.

THANK YOU Ski for saying that! I thought I was dating a enigma of the male species because my bf is so into Nike shoes. The man can go on for an hour talking about them and all their do-dads and stuff. Well, at least someone else does it too.
March 26, 2007 at 10:41 am #555493Nope. My man can talk about them forever. He even pulls them out of the box to look at them every once in a while and to tell me the history of them. He even showed me how to spot fakes. I thought it was funny, cuz he said something about me sitting here hitting refresh one Friday waiting for an auction that may or may not go up, then was up at 6am the next morning to buy the shoes when they got released. π The shoes fly off the shelves just as fast as the Windstones do! Your man and my man could probably talk for hours π

Yes, they should hook up. It’s funny about what you said about taking them out to look at them. My guy does the same thing as well and tells me the enitre history for the Jordan runs (what year, what changes were made, what the fakes do or don’t have, etc.). And I completely understand the “these new shoes are going to be released on (enter date here) at (enter time here)”. As you said, they are as fanatcial as we can be over Windstones. Before I met my bf I never thought of collecting footware like we collect Windstones. I guess there is something for everyone.
March 26, 2007 at 5:27 pm #555495So they don’t even wear them? They just sit in the box? π―

My man will buy two pairs. One to maaaybe wear or re-sell and one to keep. If he DOES wear them, he walks really funny so he wont crease the toe, and he wont walk on the grass, etc… It was really funny to watch him walk home on Friday night, but not so funny when we had to backtrack so he would not have to cross a field π
Hey Silver, I will let him know your man is a fan. Maybe they can talk shoes π

Oh, dearie… they are not just shoes… they are π― JORDANS π *This said by him in the same serious tone I use when explaining the difference between Windstones and other dragons*

Even better, my guy works at the Nike employee store, so he will know when releases come out and sometimes can get 40-50% discounts. So if he wants, just PM or e-mail me and I’ll forward the info.
He even has a Nike swoosh license plate holder. π
