Have you gotten your zebra kirin yet?
I was just finishing a kirin that has zebra markings and was wondering…
Was he as lovely as he looked?January 24, 2007 at 7:22 pm #489405January 24, 2007 at 7:25 pm #531808Phoenix wrote:Have you gotten your zebra kirin yet?

Was he as lovely as he looked?Nope, not yet. She said she was gonna email an updated pic. She had touched it up and said it was ready to mail… I have not gotten a pic yet, though. Maybe she forgot and just mailed it. I hope to see it soon. I want to see what she did with it. 😀
January 24, 2007 at 7:26 pm #531809So do I! Or shall I say, so do we?
January 24, 2007 at 7:37 pm #531810Skigod, I have been wondering if you actually ski…?

I love trying to figure out everyone’s callsign.Nah! Im a snowboarder… Which means I plop my butt in the middle of the mountain and watch folks ski around me 😆 There was actually a topic about this here. You can tell us about yours!!
January 24, 2007 at 8:27 pm #531812I was curious about that Ki-Rin myself. I hope it was worth the money. The scales looked so bland to me.

Mine is a long story, but the first time I heard the story of the phoenix, I could totally relate. I had one of the crapiest childhoods one could imagine. Too many times I wanted it to end. But I lived on, met my DH, had two kids, three ponies and two cats. My life can’t get much better than it is now. Hence, the phoenix!
My farm is also called Phoenix Farms just for the reason I am building it from nothing but a dream!January 24, 2007 at 8:44 pm #531814I liked how it looked when I first saw it, and only thought less of it when I read other peoples reactions. I decided I would comprimise… I would get it, but ask to have it changed it up a little bit. I am sure I will like the finished product even more. At least I hope I do!! 😆
January 24, 2007 at 8:45 pm #531815I loved it the first time I saw it, but it was way too expensive for what it was.

January 24, 2007 at 8:51 pm #531817Yeah, I agree. A wise man told me once “if you look up all the time at the things other people have, you will never see the path you have left behind” meaning you won’t see how far you’ve come.
January 24, 2007 at 8:58 pm #531818That is indeed a wise man. I was just thinking about the movie/documentary coming out about the 3 men from Africa (?) that had nothing. They had to walk to escape killing and they were picked out of many to come to the states to see how they would react to America and how America would react to them. One of the things one of the guys said was something like: Americans have everything here. They have food and homes and still they always want more more more. It kinda made me realize how lucky I was. I have felt blessed for a long time, but these guys made me really appriciate stuff like running water and tv.
January 24, 2007 at 9:01 pm #531819I so know what you are talking about.
The thing that slapped me in the face and made me stop the self pity crap, was a book call ” A boy called it” or something like that.
It made me realize that no matter how bad you think your life is, someone out there has it worse.
That was the day I woke up!January 24, 2007 at 9:13 pm #531820Phoenix wrote:It made me realize that no matter how bad you think your life is, someone out there has it worse.
I try to keep that in mind too, whenever I start feeling overwhelmed. I try to remember that the worst of my problems is less than the least of what most of the people in the world have to contend with.
