Bantam Dragon – Copper Patina
This is a batch of our Bantam Dragons in our famous Copper Patina color. When we first moved to Oregon from California, we couldn’t get the castings to come out perfectly. So many came out with pinholes and watermarks that we invented this color to accept life’s randomness, enhance the defects, and make them all beautiful. We have rescued Bantam Dragon castings for this batch.
Each one of these is slightly different, because of different defects, and the way the blue/green patina was applied. They have a dark antique, metallic gold trim and are shaded with a touch of purple interference paint. They have metallic teal glass eyes and teal-colored jewels set in their foreheads and their tail curl. Each Bantam guards a dichroic crystal globe. These are hand-airbrushed, color pattern may vary ever so slightly from this photo. About 5” tall.
Melody calls this an “unsigned random edition” – this first batch of Copper Patina Bantams released April 21, 2021 – One per customer please.
These are individually hand-painted so markings may vary slightly. You may find that different lighting displays the colors differently as well. This is a cast gypsum reproduction of an original sculpture by Melody Peña produced by Windstone Editions. This is an unsigned, limited production piece. For indoor display only.
