Ok. Here is a photo I just took of my real poad egg. It is very heavy, and not perfectly spherical. It is about the size of a ping pong ball.It has a opaque,whiteish, slightly rough shell.
I weighed it too. It weighs 1 3/4 ounces.

It would be neat to see a production piece with a little poad poking out of the egg. Kinda like the Dragon Hatchlings. 🙂
