actually missed a great photo opertunity. cat was curled up next to the momma dragon next to me last night
full size bed has plenty of room for 2, and i picked the mother because she is low centered i always have stuffed animals or something on my bed with me when b/f is gone meaning 99% of the year. I had a lifesized hansa moma snow leopard i ordered over a month ago .. but she never got here and we gave up and cancelled the order.(thast hwo i coudl afford my emerald o/w from BT) if i ever get her there won’t be room on the bed for other than her and me lol
i know what you mean about ruby dragon with rough, my ruby ow (from factory) has alot of rough patches too. i guess it’s just production i wasn’t sure anything could be done for it. it was the first o/w i got so i expected them all to be that way esp with how rough the b/g matte lap i got was, but i’d never had a ruby or o/w before
HEY BT one more thing … you might try us on repairing the ones that don’t .. make it. i know myself, and from what i have seen quite a few others on here would be more than happy to offer up on buying a bodie to repair. okay enuff chatter i need more than 2 hours of sleep before work so i’m heading this sorry butt back to bed (apologies for poor punctuations reallly tired had to put my 2 bits in tho)
and thanx BT in advance, for what, for me may have been the most fairly priced deal i’ll get on a emerald any time soon. i’m drooling and crying over the others for now, can hope some will be left for layaway later when you start it, if you do (hint hint) loli have missed a fair share of rainbows because the one place that does carry them held them, waiting for a employee’s mum to put them on layaway hardly fair, but oh well. i did get the mother and male but nothing young, and any websites i called seem confused about the colors in general or have nothing at all like thier site claims i see a few helpful hints but now i’m broke .. hah and i expect they will be gone before i get paid again. i am happy i found this forum and maybe i’ll get a piece off here now and then i understand a reseller because i have delt with it for years in the modle horse hobby .. you buy something to resell it hoping you can make a bit of money to buy another thing from someone else you couldn’t find course my best intentions i buy a guy to resell and find myself unable to part with it i have not in any way found enough pices anywhere that seem rare to offer them out to the group usually if i do find something i want it ! and i will blame you all for getting me hooked on the orientals i would have offered or resold because now i gotta keep em
sooo many places i call and don’t have a clue what i am talking about :O I did just grab the em/ ow from bt … it’s my late late valentinesday / birthday gift to myself. i doubt you’ll see me buying much more tbh because i can’t afford the emeralds and NO ONE seems to have emerald dragons every local joint i called dosn’t deal with them any more (or can’t afford to carry dragons) and has no clue what they have. even the ones who did. I probably burnt up more than enough gas in the searching i did locally to pay for a piece or 2 this last month lol. BT i know you’re doing what you need and some of us will love you and some of us will hate you for it lol me, i guess i’ll be much happier, if you can work out a layaway …. i feel better buying an expensive piece when i can pay it in 4 months and take the shock factor out lol, plus i can’t afford to just drop a whole paycheck every month on one windstone, too often. i spent too much this last month and a half and i know it will come back to me but i couldn’t help myself. i think now i have close to 800 in windstones on layaway i keep adding because i’m terrified someone (bt) 😛 will snap them up before i can pay them in full .. (just kidding) but no kidding aside i had no idea in the years i backed from windstones that emerald had been retiered … when i found out i cried looking at prices. and i didn’t think peacock could ever be retired. so i missed alot.. and i’ll pay, pray, and go w/o till i win the lotto then i can buy all of us what we want
i dream about glass cases too .. and having a house big enough i can put them in lol. course then i’d go nuts because i want to touch my pieces not just look. i slept with a old peacock mother on my bed last night
i used a paint brush and bit of water usually for cleaning, because in this house canned air won’t clean off the smoke tar :(. thanks for the warning on the rubies. i have one fledgi who’s in what i think may be the older paint much darker than the newer? ones, wich i don’t like as much as the dark. i may have to be super ubar carful about cleaning it then. no chance of getting dad to quit smoking, alas i’m not willing to ban them to storage till i can afford my own place, which with the way i spend money on collecting won’t be any time soon lol
well if you asked me i got my unicorns i no longer have about 12 years ago and think i paid close to 80-100 a piece so
i got my em/pe today also a mother and male the mother is like ski’s the dark blue rather than violet the male has the violet … *sigh* now i’m going to want one in each variation LOL
i see alot of potential in the idea for the griffy. I agree seems like you need your paints thinned down a bit, esp for blending.i have been to alot of walmarts now that all have the acrylic pearl paints for around 1$ i paid 30 cents more a piece at the local craft shop ! layering is good too,it may take a few more coats but less likley to have missed places where paint didn’t get too. (remeber when laying use the light colors first) i expect my pyo ideas will probably cost me tons of hours of work another idea for detailing if you are having a hard time with paint in fine lines try colored pencils
personally i like the gold w/o the purple on it better. i don’t know why but i don’t know if i like it enough for an o/w, reg black gold probably not either.
em/pe definatly yes! i may try for the bl/violet pea o/w if i have a chance of affording on because i love how that color looks (purple person here)i loved the red eyes. i want to try and get a few emeralds for my scratcher but nothing to trade yet. will depend on how tuesday goes i may get ahold of a peacock scratcher they had a few other “blue dragons” but couldn’t get clear detail from the lady
