…I wonder if the mugs come in black?? :yum:
Kudos to the Douglas Adams reference above; Don’t Panic! If I ever get a signature block graphic made w/ dragons on it like others here, it’ll also have to include a quote from him.
“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they go by.”
…also looking forward to the changes… go team!
…what about ‘fudge packer’? :spank:
(The wife LOVES the new unicorn)
& my Chocolate Rain came today! OMG, I was told a special drawing was to be put on the certificate enclosed, but I had no idea there would be that much detail! Impressed & astounded, I bow again, m’lady.
Did have a question though; other than previews for feedback given here & in Ebay for special items, what exactly is involved in choosing ‘the’ next (or to be) production color?
Thank you Pam, & very much understood. When it comes to Ebay now, I either do the ‘Buy Now’s or put in 1 max bid near the end, not even messing w/ the bid wars during. The end price by then is usually dang close to my max bid. I do at least agree with the fairness of bidders being protected w/ their names hidden, prevents messages afterward all sour-grapey. :spank:
Here’s to your continued success on Ebay, & all future product endeavors. (if there was an emoticon holding up a beer, I’d use it here)

So do I, m’lady. It’s true, beauty is in the eye of the beholder… & a rose by any other name will still smell just as sweet, & be just as much pain to grow. Also true are the descriptions within the Ebay listings to, what was the word? Oh yea… woo. I got woo’ed… many here also got woo’ed, not just from Ebay descriptions but also from words typed here in these… discussions. If one denotes a sense of distaste in that last word, you would not be far from wrong.
Hard line to draw, isn’t it. Opinions everywhere, wildcards in the woodworks that are indeed willing to pay sometimes unreasonable prices… we love what we love, right? & if we dislike something, excrement abounds. ‘wow, I can’t believe that went for that much!’ & so on. We can be a community that respects each others’ opinions, & can turn on each other in a heartbeat if so desired.
Ebay, great example. Huge actually, a perfect example of financial democracy gone exuberantly wrong. As advertisements go, items sell & interest is gained, true; but at what cost when there are those whose purpose is to bump up the prices so the winners pay bigtime. It happens… for example, check out recent Ebay items from here – not the winners but those that kept bidding & bidding… click their protected name’s feedback, & you see everything they’ve bid on before. Not the items themselves, but what they did. How can 1 person w/ a feedback of 7 have so many bid retractions?? & right down the list, dragon dragon dragon dragon dragon… collectors sure, not good bidders or something more? I’m not accusing, I’m venting. Voicing opinion. 1 voice amidst the chaos, but I’m not the only one it’s happened to I bet.
All that now being said, & my most sincere apologies if I offended anyone, from the avid collector to the creator herself. I love these dragons. I love the sense of togetherness this forum provides. We become like a family… & the best of families out there differ. Argue, bicker, moan & complain. It’s what they do, & they do it well.

Yes it did & thank you.
February 27, 2011 at 9:10 am in reply to: Windstone eBay AUCTIONS – March 7, pg 25 NEW THREAD #837413Ouch… were you intending to offend…? That’s like a realtor selling a house then saying it was an outhouse.
February 27, 2011 at 7:09 am in reply to: Windstone eBay AUCTIONS – March 7, pg 25 NEW THREAD #837411I like the sand also. but for a moment, I thought the ‘bowel movement’ comment was directed toward Chocolate Rain… whew!
Wow! …& then it exploded. Impressed & in awe, I loved everyone’s input. Too much to cut-n-quote in retrospect, so I’ll make it brief…
twindragonsmum – love crosstitch, brings back memories of gone times. There’s this Kinkade puzzle @ Walmart I’ve got my eye on…
kitsunelady – respect in both curiosity & research. I’m Roman Catholic & the article even worried me over the writer’s blatant opinions engrossed in review. Scarry. borderline Children of the Corn’ish. What, does he sideline as a political radio analyst? Nice phase-in to vampires, by the way. Word.
rusti – I agree completely. What is any painting but a relaxing escape from reality, of our own choosing.
Adaneth – He’s gotta pay the lawyers & merchandising rights, don’t he…
ghostndragon – My lighter has lifted & a sacrilegious ‘amen’ forthcomming. Kudos.Until next time friends, may the peace we find be an eternal flame of knowledge & wisdom.
& checkmark in the Starbucks coffee mugs section. They lost their main artist though, now all he does is the Anniversary mugs… & the latest one is just a smaller copy of the year before’s. err…
Not trying to bump, but had a question regarding, so oopsie on the nudge…
Mine came in the mail, & I love this color! I was wondering though, considering it said limited run; how many were made?
…Never play leapfrog with a Unicorn?
Ok, so I got his coffee cup set… the black ones. set of 4. plus the Christmas one. 🙄
February 26, 2011 at 8:45 am in reply to: Windstone eBay AUCTIONS – March 7, pg 25 NEW THREAD #837394True on the Tigers, yet as the artist strives for the attention and sales, the love of the art shines through to select pieces that speak to us at elemental, if not magical, levels. Black Ice shows just that as well. Potential for product, yes. One of a kind… if not in theme, than in spirit. The art deserves so much more than trivialities, but tribulations.
My vote goes to Black Ice for consideration in production. Consider what the pearl white ones have retired & sold for. Do I denote drool on the factory manager’s mouth? (ok, so I was imaginating on that one… partially…)
