I’ve been doing a lot of plushes lately!
This guy is a husky. Sorta. I’m still working on my patterns. At least he looks like a canine! He’s a little stubby, I think. Next time I’ll see about making the legs longer and the body a little slimmer, I think.
I recently uploaded some really, really, really old art to one of my galleries, and I wanted to see what other people had. Mine is from when I was six! What’s your oldest art?
Here’s mine! He’s a dragon. Not a dinosaur! Nevermind that he doesn’t have wings, I meant him to be a dragon, so dragon he is. I was very proud of him at the time. I still think he’s not bad for a six year old.
P.S. Shameless plug for anybody who hasn’t seen my swap thread. Anybody who likes these fuzzy things, I do trade them for Windstones. I’m currently after poads (burnt sugar, metallic blue, and silver and white) and fledgelings (empea and flame) and I would SO do a plush for one! Or a pillow, or several Loonakits or a couple of tails…
Well, my trade with GB went swimmingly, so I can cross one poad off my list, but I’m still looking for the two fledges (empea, flame) and the rest of the poads. (burnt sugar, silver and white, metallic blue) I can do pretty much anything that involves fake fur. My clothing sewing skills are limited to following fairly simple patterns, sadly, but who doesn’t need some fuzzy, warm, cuddleable things in their life, right?
Any takers?

My first new Windstone since I sold off the collection I don’t even remember how long ago. Something like a year, I think.
I still can’t afford them, but I traded a handmade faux fur pillow to GB for a poad. XD Poads and fledglings are what I still collect these days. Though I’m woefully behind, I still don’t have the empea or the red flame fledgeling, and I only have two poads, the butternut and now this black one. Someday though!

Does SHE want another pet? Of course another pet can’t just replace the one she lost, but if she does want one, and it’s that she’s missing having that companionship, then not getting her one could feel like you’re punishing her for grieving over the lost pet. In either case though, it’s still a pretty fresh wound. You say “its been almost a month” as though that is a long time, but getting over loss can take months and months, especially if she was close to the cat, so it may be a while before she can “deal with it.” Loss isn’t something you just “get over” even as a child. Maybe especially as a child. Don’t let her get away with actual back talk and disobedience, but don’t come down on her too hard just for being immature and emotional.
Just my $0.02, feel free to ignore if it doesn’t sound right. I don’t have kids of my own, but I’m the oldest of 5, I know a little about ’em. 🙂

I did some clothes for plushes today. The white feline demonstrates why I don’t usually take commissions that involve clothing, I’m awful at it. And also I need to work on my feline faces. 😛 But the gryphon’s outfit actually came out pretty nicely. Though I suppose it’s pretty hard to screw up a loincloth.

I am so pleased with these two. They are much better than my usual work, I think. They certainly took more time than the silly stuff.
Oh, almost forgot about this guy. Probably the silliest thing I’ve drawn yet.
