Most of the people I asked said Hazel was totaly wrong for a boy. But I like it and some humans were named Hazel somewhere in history.It sounds a little girly, but that’s what’s great about cats-they don’t care! I had a grey cat named Ginger and a black cat named Pumpkin, just coz I liked the names, they didn’t care as long as I petted and fed them 😀 If you guys like the name, use it.
I voted for Hazel too. Hazel just sounds like a cute name for a kitty, and it’s easier for him to pronounce 🙂
Thanks Barrdwing!! I have checked out that site before & she has some GREAT color choices, but I agree nothing seems to fit as well as the Windstone eyes. They just drop in there so perfectly. I thought about getting some from dreaming tree, but I got confused by the low profile, standard, etc, and didn’t know what I would need. Since a lot of people get eyes from there for their PYOs maybe they could recommend what I could use 😕

Is it possible to someday sell PYO eyes separately in the store? When I buy a PYO I never know which color to choose and would be very willing to pay a couple extra dollars for some more eyes to choose the color after it has been painted. I ordered a bag full of eyeballs from a taxidermist site, but they’re not nearly as pretty as the Windstone colors. I’ve talked to a few people on here that have had that same “eye dilemma” when ordering. Is that a possibility? Thank you! 🙂

We say these too!! except Home Depot is Home Dee Pot. McDonald’s is Micky D’s too. My hubby calls Lowe’s Home Improvement “Blowe’s”. Our chain of grocery store is called Giant Eagle, we call it Big Bird.
I HATE beans!! ANY bean (except green beans). I would rather eat a bug than eat a bean. When I was a kid my mom would make chili, and of course I would pick out every last bean. When I was in my 20’s my mom told me that when she made chili she put beans in the blender and mixed them in so I was eating icky beans the entire time and didn’t know it!! :puke:
When I was a kid, any time my grandfather ate soup he would mix a ton of ketchup in it first. I tasted it and now I like putting kethup in soup. My husband says he’s never smelled anthing so vile!
When we go to the asian buffet restaurant in our town, I grab a plate and head to the wonton soup pot & pick out a heaping plate of just wontons :yum: (If I ate the soup I would probably end up putting ketchup in it anyway 😆 )

I thought of something else – we call tissues ‘kleenex’ no matter what brand they really are! I bet a lot of people all over the place do that, though. e.e Oh, and we call rednecks ‘hilljacks’, although I have a suspicion my friend Jeffrey made that up himself when he was making fun of another friend who is from Marble Hill (aka The Hill), which is pretty…well, it’s way out there in BFE, and they have honed their redneck skills to a fine point, let’s just put it that way. 😀

Anyhoo, I will listen tomorrow at work, and see if I can catch any other weird things we say!
People do use “jeetjet” here!! And they use the phrase “N’at” which means “and that”. People here do tend to slurr their words together A LOT.
BFE is a parking spot somewhere in “Egypt”-REEEEEEAAALLY far away from the store. 😀We also say BFE out here in Pittsburgh 😀 I was born and raised in New Jersey where I learned to say “soda” then I move to Pittsburgh where it is called “pop”. anything fizzy is a pop. I still say soda and get laughed at 🙁
Here we say “Crick” instead of “Creek”.
In New Jersey we would say “you guys” but in PA it’s “YINZ”, as in “What are YINZ doing tonight?”
And for some reason people in Pittsburgh can’t pronounce the name of their football team: they call the Pittsburgh Steelers “The Stillers”
This is a weird place, I miss New Jersey 😥
