I’m with Rylorien 100% on her post. The whole point of beans in Kickstarter and what Melody said originally was they were exclusive to this Kickstarter project.
Kickstarter rewards are supposed to be things that are not otherwise available. Making them widely (or even occasionally) available after the project to non-backers diminishes the value (both monetary and personal) significantly.
It could also have a negative effect on future projects (like maybe Melody’s next book) if people think they can get something after the fact (secondary market not included) without actually backing the project.
So, please, Melody, stick to your guns and keep your promise that the beans will be retired after the project ends with the books being shipped.
