Hoping that someone can clear this up for me . I have what I thought was an emerald scratcher mint in his box . I decided to sort through my collection as it looks like I might have to sell some . When I compared him to the emerald OW I have I noticed that he is a different colour . The scratcher is a darker richer colour & looks like the jade coiled that I have rather than the emerald coiled . I always thought the jade scratchers were lighter as they seem to photograph that way however when I took a couple of pictures on my camera phone he does look jade . Does this sound right ? I hope someone out there who has a jade scratcher can tell me .
That’s a real special handpicked piece of straw isn’t it ? Loved the video – thanks for sharing it 😆
October 12, 2008 at 9:25 am in reply to: Has Anyone Had This Problem Before? UPdated 10-13 Not GOOD #736008I have had this problem before when I bought from the friend of someone on this forum . Same thing broken claw on a white scratcher – not even the puff of gypsum powder was to be found in the box 😯 . When I looked closely at the picture posted here I could see that the damage had occured BEFORE being shipped to me but the seller gave assurances that the dragon was undamaged . Despite sending the pictures requested of the damage the seller has refused to work with me on this one & as I am not the only person on the forum that she did this to I’m not holding out much hope of resolution .
I have 2 large peacock wizards & both have light blue gems & the very old large white wizard I have that has no felt pad has a red gem .
It sounds like whatever direction you choose to go with Frodo you have one helluva canny pony there .
I promise to get my daughter to show me how to post pictures & then I’ll get them posted 😉 .

Yay *joins in happy dance*
Just noticed the dragons were sent on the 8/8/08 supposedly the luckiest day of the decade – tell me about it 😉
Is this the same Kyrin that is having to have an extension built on her house to store all the Windstones that I send to her ? 😆 Kyrin you are far too good to me already so if the seller will ship to me directly I usually get them sent to me . Most of the sellers up until now have packed as I’ve asked them to but as I don’t think I’ll be so lucky again so I might have to remortgage & send you the money for that extension .
Well peeps , chance is a game we play , especially when you buy from E-bay . Because I live in the UK I have little/no chance of finding Windstones in any store here so I rely on getting my pieces direct from the Windstone store , the Forum or on the dreaded E-bay & even then understandably some people don’t ship to the UK . I managed to win 2 auctions on E-bay for the elusive orange eyed emerald dragons , a mother & hatcher , & asked the seller as I usually do to double box etc. so they had a chance of getting here safely . Well they arrived today both in the same SINGLE box with a few pieces of bubblewrap round them & some packing peanuts – can you guess what I’m going to say next ?NOT A SCRATCH/SCRAPE/BREAK/RUB/CHIP(you get the idea?) on either of them 😯 . I cannot comprehend how they made it safely over such a distance with so little protection but feel sure the god of Windstone shipping was watching over these precious pieces 😉
I thought Paypal only covered E-bay transactions that go wrong .
A very interesting piece of information has come to light about this seller . EXACTLY the same thing has happened to me with a white scratcher that I bought from the same seller – big chip , no pieces or plaster dust in the bag & the seller insisting there was no damage when it left her . I also bought the piece here on the forum . A bit TOO much of coincidence methinks 😕 .
We don’t de-claw cats over here – just put up with the clawed furniture 😉 . De-barking or ear cropping & tail-docking are all illegal in Scotland but in England tail docking is allowed to be carried out only on working dogs & if done by a Vet .
Men who have the first name John are often called Jack – John F Kennedy was called Jack 😉
