I like it just *that* much better. With the darker tips, it does match the eyes better. It does not take away from the pastels at all, rather it accents them. Good choice, purplecat. If I had any $$ for a PYO, it’d buy it. 🙂
Simply lovely, as always,
~SafyreHi all,
I had yet another sad, sad loss in my family. This time it was my childhood pet, my best most understanding pet in the world; Elvira; Mistress of the Dark, we called her. She was just a regular “black cat” with yellow eyes, but to me she was the world. The one who slept on my head every night to stay warm ( 😆 ) or licked up my salty tears when I was sad. I had her since I was like 5, so that would make her nearly 16 when she died… I loved her so much and when she realized I wasn’t coming back to visit her from my far away home, she didn’t hang on anymore.Sorry, enough of the sad story; the point of this post is:
I would like to find a damaged or used small flap cat bird or bat winged at a reasonable price to paint over fully black with white angelic wings to commemorate her. If anyone has such a piece or even is willing to commission it for me, I’d pay handsomely for it.
Thank you all,
I will scoure Ebay for the right piece too..

Indeed. It is amazing. But thankfully where he is it is “more” safe and stable (think the Green Zone), and he is doing well. He and his wife are both Sgts on their second tours. He’ll be coming home for good (we pray) in February. He’s going to get so much great stuff when he’s home. Sending pretties to a dirty place like Iraq would be heartbreaking, so he gets to wait. 🙂
Thanks for all the love <3 I'm so happy 😀
Most of mine are head injuries, and one other scar that no one else of my generation will ever have..
When I was 4-5, we had a tetherball ‘court’ in our yard and my brother (6 years older) enjoyed hitting that tetherball with his baseball bat. Dummy. Well, I was walking by.. too closely… and caught the backswing square between the eyes. Ouch. Now I have a little scar, and bit of broken eye socket that induces headaches once in a while. No stitches, I insisted. Imagine everyones look when I said “he hit me with a bat.” Hah 😯
And in our house, we had carpet in the living room that had a fold easy to trip on in a spot right by our coffee table. Needless to say, I have a nice triangle scar in the center of my forehead that will never go away. 😆
More recently, when I was 16ish, I was playing indoor soccer and got glass-wall to the back of my head. Bled like mad, but again refused stitches; just braided my hair real tightly together. No one will ever see it.
And the other, most interesting one.. is a “Wringer Scar“. I was 5-6 and very helpful. So I wanted to help my mom finish doing laundry on our old old machine that actually pressed the laundry together to squeeze the water out. So, I forgot to let go and my left arm went through. Never broke skin, but it has tissue damage. The funnier thing is my mom, upon hearing my scream, slipped out the door and cut open her thumb. I was more concerned with that than me. 🙂 Ah.. Good times.

My brother, who is serving in the Army in Iraq- God Bless our Troops– sent me a message saying
“Happy Early Birthday, UPS Surprise for You”

I’m sure many of you saw the posting that pipsxlch had up to sell Misty Blu, and perhaps even the post of her in progress, but this is Misty in her new home! She’s absolutely gorgeous and stunning in a very natural, realistic yet fantastic way. I am so happy to call her mine.

I do hope that pipsxlch does many more PYO so we all may enjoy them in the future. 🙂Love,
~SafyreP.S. I also must mention, this was the best-boxed windstone I have ever seen. Original box, plus cardboard edging outside of that, peanuts, stuffing and the sturdy USPS box. Zow!!
EDIT: Changed the photo into a link because the photo was breaking some people’s browsers! Jut click the link to see the beautiful PYO. Thanks!

*cough, gags on drink, spit, choke, cough, cough* 😳 … 😮 😯 ❗ .. Sigh, there’s one in every bunch. I hate spiders.
Welcome sapphire! A character of my own color. Enjoy your stay. 8)
So I finished his book (a while ago). I wanted to say… Nothing spectacular. Typical Tolkien. And the ending, well, isn’t really an ending because this is the beginning, right? They give you a nice geneology that’s impossible to follow to see how it all connects. There are a lot of books in between here and Lord of the Rings, though to fill in the blanks. 🙂 It does gets a little Star-Wars-esque there for a while, but overall I liked it.

Congrats! Enjoy it! 🙂 (beats back jealousy, “Down boy!”) Hehe
SPark wrote:Yes, don’t abandon ebay because of a bad seller!
We KNEW that this seller was trying to cheat people before you ever bid.
That’s true, that’s true. They were trying to rip people off 100%, mislabled and everything. I felt $50 was fair enough, so I don’t feel bad about the price. I dunno, it was just a surprise. They get a neutral feedback from me. It’s not that bad, I suppose… and now my mom and pop aren’t missing their baby. He just get the nickname Glue Head 😆
I’ll give ebay another shot, or two, but not for awhile. I’m still unemployed [[what am I doing???]] 😳 😯darjeb; I’m so sorry about your ebay experiences. Emperors are so hard to come by, and I guess even harder to ship. Congrats on getting one in-tact
So, in a quiet attempt to finish my White dragon set, I went ahead and purchased this little hatching egg for $50. They originally ask for $100, which was crazy, so I gave them the best offer of $50. Plus shipping. I told them I want it double boxed with lots of padding… because, I don’t care how small it is, it’s still fragile. And if you’re going to sell me something that’s only worth $25 for $50 I expect you to spend a few dollars in packaging. Right? Well, no they didn’t. They send it in a broken down old beat up box wrapped a couple times with bubble wrap, and tossed it on it’s way. It wasn’t even solidly placed in the box. The whole way it was probably banging back and forth in the box. Grrr!!!
Thankfully, it’s not smashed to smitherines or something. A chip on the head and a crack by the eye. I think I can fix it. But I mean, 2 chips on an item that’s barely 2 inches?? There’s no tag, no original box, and it looks almost fake next to my other whites. It’s BRIGHT Hospital room white, and my others are mellow regal pearl white. I don’t get it. So I’m pretty upset for what I got.
I got hosed, and I know it. Damn. Lesson learned.
No more Ebay for me.[End Rant]
