Is this a knock off of the retired windstone griffon gargoyle????
Pooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddddsssssssssss!!! where are you?????
Im down!!!! I love the Kirin’s!!!
I was three!! I think my first memory of Windstones was at around age 6 walking past a window display in downtown Vancouver!!! It was love at first sight!!! As soon as I hit my teens I bothered any shop for their catalogs and began to collect them until I could afford my first piece!! ahhhhhhhhh Windstone memories!!!
Quote:I like the rainforest color…does anyone remember whether it was artist edition, limited edition, limited production….etc? I’d like to get one, but if it’s one of the auction only colors, I won’t have much chance.
Im in the same boat!!! I would love to get one as well but at a reasonable cost somewhere under $500.00 a girl has to eat!!!. Am I mistaken but werent the Albino Gryphons ebay only for awhile before they put them in the store?????. Hopefully enough squeking could get us a limited production batch made up!!! :squeak:
I sure hope whoever won it is out frame shopping to put it someplace nice to be viewed by all….*sigh* griffocamp I lament your passing through my fingers!!!! But in all seriousness congratulations to the winner thats a gorgeous piece!!!
I dont even own a lap yet but I sure would if they produced a few rainforest in the store…..thats all Im saying!!!.
Quote:Thanks Star! I did add a calendar yesterday. It took me all day to do since each image had to be prepared individually. Melody chose the images to include!
I’m going to try and do a calendar (single image one) for one of Olimpia’s special pieces, and maybe one of mine, too.
I may not do anymore until Monday though, my joints are bothering me today.
I would love to one day in the future see a calendar of all the sketches melody auctions off on ebay once she has completed enough!!!!! or if she ends up doing alot then perhaps by subject ie: griffins/ unicorns/ dragons…… I would want one of each!!!!
I figured I would go straight to the source!!! Will there be any more white and silver poads??? If so will it be anytime in the not to distant future?????. Thanks!!! Sorry to be such a bug!!!!
Poads may not be the biggest the baddest or the bravest but they serve there part in making me smile when I look at their bulbous eyes!!!!!.
I know things are crazy busy at the Windstone factory right now with the move preperations, so Im not expecting to see things happen as quickly as normal….. But was that batch of silver poads the last or will more be made as time permits in the future????? thanks to whomever can answer that for me!!
Thanks soooooooooooooooooooo much for the image posts the duck dragons are adorable!!!!! I love it!!!! I hope you are able o find some quite time someday in the not too distant future to get around to a bit more of it. It looks like it will be a fun read!!!.
Graphic novels I recommend to people are usually from Vertigo (d.c)
~fables- a story about fairy tale characters that are war refugees in our world when an evil power takes over the fable words. Awesome if you love fairy tales.
~Y the last man- what would happen if there was only one man left alive on earth after a strange disease wipes them out… not as pleasant as men always fantasise about thats for sure!!!.
~Elfquest- (mentioned earlier) Wendy Pini has pretty much dedicated her entire life to telling her story and up until the newer releases this year the art and stoies were fabulous. I recommend reading the archive editions of her earlier work.
~Books of Magic- before Harry Potter there was a boy wizard created by Neil Gaiman named Timothy Hunter and his adventures were alot more complex and dangerous than anything Harry ever endured. As a side note I believe Neil Gaiman was ready to file a plagerism lawsuit against Rowling until Warner Bros. (company that bought movie/franchising for H.P) offered to turn StarDust (graphioc novel) into a movie (sweet movie must read the vertigo title one of these days!!)
I think it was Jennifer? saying she may do a heavily illustrated version of her story, if so Stardust illustrated by Charles Vess is a great example of now nicely that turns out visually!!!.
Thanks again though Melody for taking time out to share some more of your lovley work with us!!!! You made my night!!!
Possibly a dumb question but…. You have two fabulous sculpts from your graphic novel now, The Poads and the Lion Kirin. As a huge graphic novel fan I am dying to know when we might (if ever) get a peek at a page or two of this project?????. Your brillant critters have sparked my fasination and curiousity. ……squeeeeek……
the Appaloosa on ebay right now is absolutley gorgeous!! i would punch my granny to get a family in that colour scheme!!!!
Im cool with the wait I have lots on my list to pick-up before your ready to sell these guys online!! thanks!!!!
