I think it would be really cumbersome to try and allow any type of Poad selection process. You don’t want to slow the contributions down. You are just asking people to help out and oh by the way, get a cool little Poad for being part of the process. Having some higher pledge amounts with a special reward, could also be very successful. For example, if you pledge $1000, you get a custom painted unicorn/dragon/griffin. If you pledge $500, you get a custom painted baby unicorn/pegasus/dragon. You have to balance the time spent fulfilling the pledge, versus the cash reward.

Loved all of Anne McCafferey’s Dragonrider books. Have all of them. Would recommend “The Lord of the Rings” (of course), Robin McKinley’s “The Blue Sword”, “The Hero and the Crown”, and “Sunshine”; Guy Gavriel Kaye’s “The Summer Tree”, “Wandering Fire”, and “The Darkest Road”; “The Riddle-Master of Hed” trilogy by Patricia McKillip; “The Last Unicorn” by Peter Beagle; Mercedes Lackey’s “Valdemar” series; “Game of Thrones” is great, but George RR Martin is WAY behind in ending the books; Jim Butchers “Harry Dresden” series; and his “Codex Alera” series; Barbara Hambly’s “Dragonbane”, and “Darwath” series; really enjoyed Patrick Rothfuss’s “Name of the Wind” and the “Wise Man’s Fear”, but he seems to be having a hard time finishing this series too; and nobody better than C.J. Cherryh at science fiction. Her “Fortress”, “Morgaine”, “Chanur” and “Foreigner” series are wonderful and highly recommended.

Just curious, I bought a Prismatic Mineral Spring dragon on Ebay this fall that was a Test Paint. And then not too long afterwards, you came out with the Prismatic Spring dragons in production. Very, very similar colors. So is that an example of a color that appeared shortly afterwards in production?

I’m going to squeak for more Mother Pegasus in any of the wonderful new colors Gina has been doing! Even another variation on the Rainbow Pastel! I lobbied really hard for those colors in the pegasii, and sadly was unable to obtain even one…

Ah ha! I received my lovely Gift package from Tinks on Christmas Eve! I received the ALWAYS welcome gift of chocolate! With both Ghiradelli and Hershey Kisses! Love the card with a beautiful German Shepherd on the front. Looks a lot like my beloved Scout who died a few years ago. Got a lovely selection of Katy Perry perfumes, some Body Shop (love all their products) Coconut Scrub, a very pretty crystal tree (to join my other collection of Christmas trees), some soft and warm Christmas socks, a very festive Christmas bracelet , a cute little Reindeer ornament and a feather toy for my kitties! Thank you so much Tinks! It was all very welcome!

Oh oh I LOVE this thread! I started collecting the shiny mares and foals when I was a kid. Gave them all away to various nieces when I was a teenager, but then started collecting as an adult and have a nice collection. Love seeing them displayed IN the bookshelves. I have mine on top of shelves, on top of bookcases, etc, etc My favorite are some of my oldest. Not sure what they are called. A running Arabian mare and foal, in a matte dapple gray smoke color with white mane and tail. Love them all!

Hmmm – never collected “My Little Ponies”, but tend to remember them as being bright pink or turquoise, or some gaudy color. An iridescent pegasus is so traditional, but most figurines or ceramics I’ve seen are not classy (unlike all the wonderful Windstone versions). This Pastel Rainbow test paint tends to look very much like an opal! I think it would be very beauteous on pegasii!

I love the Pegasus family, especially the Mother Pegasus. Melody, I would love to see a new Pegasus, like the Young Unicorn, sitting with the wings unfurled. Think how much fun to paint that would be! ! While I’m at it, I would love to see a Mother Pegasus, Mother Unicorn, or Male Unicorn done in this lovely new Black Pastel! ! !
