I know- I got a bunch of shops on a list… but the money well doth run dry (regards of layaway… I like to do things upfront and not have it looming over head as I have enough bills to pay piling up hence having to sell my non-equine Windstones). And though he will ultimately be a gift, I still feel badly as Im more comfortable being the giver than receiver. He’ll come into my hands eventually (I hope… Im pretty in tune with my body at this point and can feel if it is taking a dive that will be the ultimate dive IYKWIM).
I never expected Id land a Black Grand. Even if I won the lottery, Id still have to locate one and persuade the owner to part with it so I know it’s impossible. But it’s not like the white isnt a prize. He’ll be treasured for sure!

😯 Wow! I just contacted that first website’s email address asking what they will charge for shipping to my zip. That is by far the best price Ive seen for him. Lets hope that the shipping doesnt make up for it. From what Ive seen, those that have had free shipping have had him at a steady $145. And those that have advertised him at a lower cost, their shipping costs make up the balance so that it equals out to the same cost of $145 anyway.
His shipping would have to be $26 from TN to FL to make that difference, so we’ll see.
But most of all, thank you for your responses, links and info.
The shop that supposedly charges 100s for shipping… are you talking about the white Grand or the even more elusive if not extinct black? The not replying to emails is a huge red flag for me as I dont consider than good customer service. Ppl who buy from you are your bread and butter so you should do all you can to keep them satisfied and hooked or on the line- communication is essential so that would drive me batty. If it were the white, Id not even bother. Now, if it were the black, maybe my brother in law would fly out there and pick it up (not kidding).

Im on dial up so though my MAC is super fast, it’s still not as fast as cable connection. So Im watching the first image load and thinking wow, I really like how the green of the eyes sets in well with the darker background of the face. Then the 2nd image loads and BAM! The eyes really pop and I feel like Im being looked down at by the nose of a prehistoric beast (good angle)! I like the contrast youve chosen there w/ that eye color and having an adjacent dark.
Then her wings are a whole other surreal story of other fantasy realm- and a color combo a really enjoy. She came out very nice. Whomever gets her (or if you keep her) I hope she’s enjoyed (no doubt she will be)!
BTW, would never have guessed that youd have had no creativity. Youve obviously tapped into your muse!
I guess I was getting tripped up on the wording. Like shipping it would be “prohibited” as in unlawful or taboo or the like. I can see by the photo he is a monster and is obviously a fortune in shipping anywhere. In fact I dont think Ive ever seen an actual Emp before so even though this lovely is injured, the photo with the hand in it puts his body size in perspective. Yow!
I know of a few around but the money isnt around yet 😆 I have to get the rest of my Windstones sold off and pay my pressing medical bills first. And though I know that someone wants to buy him as a gift for me, Im still bent on having the money myself. Sounds silly but theyve done enough for me and continue to do so but I believe if it’s meant to be, the Grand Unicorn will come to me (wouldnt it be loverly if it was the black one that came to me… yea, that might happen… “and monkeys might fly out of my bum”… what movie was that from?)

I concur! This is why I didnt do mine in a whole bunch. Im waiting to do the ones I have up in my first thread done first, and then do a second thread once I ship out the last of the first set… and once my PayPal is up and running again so that I may offer that to you guys (hopefully, if I can figure out how to work that for you guys) instead of just Money Orders.
As for me Romeodanny, you know there is NO pressure from me; keep me till last for quotes, shipping or whatever. I understand and sympathize so no worries on my end. Take it easy and wish I could help you out somehow!

😡 Had I known that, I would have ordered my PYO that Im simply painting blk for reasons you know, with the LAV eyes!!! Argh- payment just went out yesterday! I like the idea of the butterfly on the nose but for me, would want a more animated or surprised expression out of the unicorns face due to it. She’s too serene right now for such a cute positioning, IMO. But, to each her own!
Wow didnt she come out like a stunner! I check eBay everyday and didnt even see her so yes, that was a fast sale!
This is a PYO? I thought the Unicorns only had a choice of blue or brown eyes? Those look like a pale lavender? How did you swing that or am I not seeing right? That second photo of the facial close up just isnt loading all the way for me to see enough.

BINGO! That was the listing I was thinking of. But according to the Bid History, I dont see any “Basilisk” name in there! I probably just saw it somewhere else on some other Windstone but I could have sworn it was for the Flion… and it was this Flion I was thinking of.

It’s “great_basilisk” from Puerto Rico. Only has one buy (or sell) next to the name. Id only seen your name a couple times here so you can see how I could have confused you on eBay… especially bidding on a Windstone!
No, I didnt save the link as I wasnt “watching the item” in My eBay cause I knew I wasnt bidding. I COULD try logging on with my other computer using that old browser which might have saved it and get the link from there. I could also search for an eBay user but it might come up as you. If I have time, I’ll play.
