Ordered a Muse. Sent my email. So, hopefully I’m in. 🙂 BTW, what exactly is a Muse? Other than an odd, cute little critter. 🙂

    Thanks!

I would wait until closer to Christmas. Right now is not the best, because at the end of the month is Breyerfest, an annual get-together in Kentucky for Breyer collectors. So people are saving money for that and the Special Runs from there.

Ebay is probably your best best with good photos. Model Horse Sales Pages, link above, charges a yearly fee to list ads with photos and then sales are hit and miss. There are a couple of model horse only auction sites, but traffic is still better on Ebay.

You are most likely not going to get much for the regular runs, but if you are familiar with mold and model names you can get an idea, on the high side, on Pony Lagoon: http://ponylagoon.muerte.net/index.shtml.

There is also HaynetExchange, a Yahoo groups, where you can list ads for free. You could post ads there also. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HaynetExchange/

I get the best results listing to Ebay and then posting to HaynetExchange and Model Horse Sales Pages that the auctions are up and running.

    Hope that helps,

in reply to: Welcome pegasus4240! #779883

Hopefully a better later than never response to my welcome is okay. 🙂

Didn’t realize how the welcome board works. But I’ve posted a trade request so I figured I better make some kind of response to who I am.

I really do collect enough other things that I really don’t need one more thing to collect, but here I am anyway. My first love is horses. I collect all kinds of horse figurines, but am in the process of trying to rein in the collection and make everything more manageable instead of overflowing and overtaking. I also went through a My Little Pony phase and a Cherished Teddies phase and a Beanie Babies phase which settled into just a Peace bear phase. I work really hard on not getting into a shiny crystal phase. I also have a fair number of books, DVDs, coins, rocks, etc.

I have always admired Windstones. I remember seeing them a fair number of years ago in the mall. I read a fair amount of fantasy and sci-fi and wish, for real, there were dragons, unicorns, pegasus, magic and all that fun stuff. I love Robert Jordan and JRR Tolkien. I am an artist and I suppose what has drawn me to Windstones finally, besides their realism, is the ability to let out a little of the creativity on some PYO’s.

As I mentioned above, I really don’t need any other things taking up space in my apartment. Right now, I have just one Old Warrior peacock dragon, Orion, and a broken Oriental dragon which I have plans of fixing up someday. Although I will have two PYO’s, one young and one keeper, coming my way. So there we go. 🙂

Breyers: Keltic Salinero, Ideal Warmblood, Bouncer, Hanoverian, Cigar, Woodgrain FAS, Rejoice. Many SM’s G1’s and G3’s mostly. There’s more. Just going off the top of my head.

    Stones: ISH, Arabian

Resins: Mostly Animal Artistry: Boxing Shire, Dauntless, QH, Hackney and others.

    Customs: Have a few.

Some of the horses are in excellent condition. Some are bodies.

You can email me for more specifics, if you wish.

    Thanks!

Perhaps I need to clarify, my horses for your dragons. I keep missing the PYO’s going up for sale, so I thought I’d ask. 🙂 Thanks!

    Hi,

Would anyone be willing to trade Breyer horses, Stone horses or, perhaps artist horse resins for unpainted PYO Dragons?

    Thanks,
    Angie F.
