Yes! I was considering getting reptile eyes. The eyes aren’t glued in yet-they’re the ones that he came with. I think a slit pupil, maybe in green would look really cool. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Hi,
Since I love painting these PYOs so much, my dad asked me to paint one for him that looks how a “real” dragon might look. He wanted snake/lizard colors, a natural matte appearance, etc. Since we (myself included) usually paint these in fantasy colors, I thought I would post my attempt at making a “real” reptilian dragon. He’s no where near done!!

That would be awesome!! I’m definitely interested, thanks for replying!

I just thought I would post a picture of my second keeper. He’s still a work in progress, but so far he’s been a blast to paint! These are so much fun to do.

    Hi,

I’ve painted several of the Windstone PYOs, and discovered that I have a real passion for this type of thing! I’m really happy with how all of them have turned out. I was wondering if any of you have other sources than Windstone for painting sculptures. Windstone’s runs are so limited that I’m looking for something that will tide me over until the next batch of PYOs become available. Thoughts? Thanks for your time!

PYO Dragons! I would LOVE more types of dragons to paint! Like Spectral, Rising, Lap, etc. I don’t care, they’re all so beautiful. Ple :bye: ase??

in reply to: PYO Dragon Question #808407

    Hi,

I searched through the message boards but couldn’t find an answer to this question. Are the small dragon and the keeper dragon the only PYO dragons that have ever been available? Is it possible that there will ever be any other styles for purchase? I have had SO much fun with these, and would lovelovelove the opportunity to paint a few different styles, as I’m sure some of you guys would as well. I understand that there are casting issues, but I was just curious!

    Thanks!

in reply to: Van Dyke's PYO Eyes #806609

    Hi,
I have a question…I’ve painted my PYO Keeper dragon in bronzy red colors, and the bright blue eyes I have don’t match. I saw that Van Dyke’s Taxidermy site is recommended for replacement eyes. Someone on here said that convex/concave eyes don’t usually fit in the sculpture. Does anyone think it would work if you were to use smaller convex/concave eyes (like 10mm instead of 11?) The reptile eyes they offer are so much more detailed than standard flat back bird eyes. Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks!
