can’t there be a day to go into the storage unit? they are just sitting there half ready to go, you just need the master casting then make a mold off that, the rubber molds shouldn’t matter in the equation since they can be remade….I know we don’t know exactly how it works but you explained kinda how it works years ago, you just need the gypsum master and molds can be made from that so I don’t understand why it’s never turned into a “let’s go look in the storage unit for them” day….
It might happen someday… who knows?
Yes, new molds can be made from the master, but unless we still have the “tooling” ( that is what we call the molds for the molds) it would be a big job to re-make all the plaster parts that are needed to cast them. We always have so much other stuff we are trying to produce!Awww that would be a shame if it’s lost.Would make a good grab bag batch.
These wolves were fairly big! About as tall as a male dragon, as I remember.
Most of the “old line” animals that surfaced after we moved to Oregon were original castings. They had been boxed up and forgotten about when they were discontinued. There weren’t any leftover unpainted wolves.
I don’t know if we still have any mold tooling for those old wolves, but we probably do still have the “master” casting somewhere in the storage unit. The rubber molds are long gone! They don’t last forever.Using watercolor on these is tricky because the gypsum may not absorb the paint evenly, leaving white patches.
Wouldn’t hurt to try watercolor! If it turns out blotchy, repaint the spots with acrylic paint.
Acrylic paint works best.
I don’t think putting a layer of paper on it first would work very well, but I don’t think anyone has ever tried it!Nice! Love the violet and flame color
The text in the middle panel and water in the bottom panel have some wonkiness to them. And smudging of the wings in the first panel.
Thank you!
Yeah, I’ll need to clean up every page of this comic before it gets printed. Just about every single one has something that needs fixing!cat wizards coming up soon!
I know, I have been ignoring Poads™. I should paint some. I am finishing up the Ponycorn grabbag batch today, and I need to finish Toaster next.

“Melody sometimes ‘hints’ too soon! She tried not to this time, but she got excited about them (Unicorns are like that – they like attention) and spilled the beans! We are still casting more Resting Ponycorns for her to paint so its going to take a while before the whole Grab Bag batch is ready. We have not yet decided exactly how we will do this grab bag, but it will be announced through the ‘Subscribe’ email newsletters. We will most likely use a waitlist on our website posted with lots of sign up time so that everyone doesn’t try to sign up all at once (that causes our site to crash).”
Well, I showed the photo of the pony corns because I thought I was done painting this batch, and they were very close to being done. -but from the reaction to these, this batch needed to be bigger. I had to wait for more ‘corns to be cast and that moved the finish line. I am painting more now.

Mine should go out today!
I’m on time for once!I use stuff called “earthquake hold”. It really does hold things! I use it for plastic toys too.
Another problem with cats is they sometimes EAT Windstones! No kidding!
We have several that have had their noses eaten off. -
