I’m now wondering what a Pink Emperor would look like??? 🙄
Me too, but mostly just because he tends to have some extra coloring on him. I know he’s the prettiest peacock one I’ve got…. I think he’d be neat to see, even if pink isn’t necessarily a masculine color.
ddvm wrote:Did I miss people talking about the cool looking sun dragon behind the black and tan OW? He looks really cool. How did he look in person?
The blue one’s been discussed, but now that I look again, I see red ones behind it too… red gold maybe? Is there a better pic somewhere of that one?
I’d love a fledgie and a curlie in pink. Anything more is just a bonus for pink-lovers.

YES! Someone who knows how to write and spell that correctly!
That seriously irks me when it’s said incorrectly… which is more often than not. Latin was a really fun class; I wish I remembered more than a few things (like that phrase, and what a vomitorium is and why they had them)Sorry, OT. You secret keepers are evil! I’d like tiny pink dragons too….
Melody wrote:This one was a test paint that Olympia did. These crazy test paints that folks take photos of around our shop aren’t meant to be for sale as they are, or even meant for anyone to see at all! We don’t worry about how they turn out,we paint them any way we feel like it, then if there is a nice part of one, or an effect we like, we may use it on future pieces. I like the “worked” look of the wings on this griffin, but not the specific colors. I like the rich golden eagle color of the face, but it doesn’t go with the body or the wings very well.. so this griffin as a whole will never be a “color”. I do appreciate your comments on these though!
Awww… well, that’s no fun. (It is really cool to get to see some of them though)
I do understand why it wouldn’t really be considered as anything more than a test. I’m a bit strange sometimes in what I fall in love with (in high school, I used to wear a really loud orange Hawaiian shirt with a lavender tie… and I still like the look 9 yrs later )
But if you ever decide to sell some test paints: I’d really like this one!Lol, thanks GB. Your recommendations lately sure are to email and ask 😀 I’ll wait to see if she answers here before I bug her through email about him. I’ll :squeak: loudly if needed, but I don’t want to be a nag w/o giving her a chance during normal waking hours to respond. 😀
Greater Basilisk wrote:I saw him. He’s quite the color clash.
Well, that works sometimes. I take it he didn’t appeal to you? I know it’s always a bit different in person than in a picture, but he just… calls to me. He’d be nice if the red was just a touch darker too, but I really like him this way.
He’s like fire… with cool ocean wings. 8)
Hi Melody, I was wondering if there may be any future plans (even far, far future! I can be patient for him!) for this guy?

I love the griffins, particularly the males, but my heart jumped & jaw dropped when I saw Frozendragon’s pic of this one. He’s my favorite, even over Nam’s (I never thought I’d say that, esp over the Lab male!) & all the other test paints I’ve seen. I’ve only done a couple little squeaks before, but this is now officially my #1 :squeak: puhleeeeeeeeez??
frozendragon wrote:purplecat wrote:What color is that strange looking griffon in the background? Rainbow?
kind of…the body is kind of reddish with gold and the wings are certainly rainbowy…

OMG, that’s frickin’ awesome! :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: I want a red/rainbow griffin like that! :squeak:
I suspect she just used the wrong wording for the limited part. No, they’re not Limited Edition, but they are Limited Production. She wouldn’t be the first person to get them confused.
The discontinued part is still just wrong though. The only color that’s considered discontinued is the original red/russet/flame color. (I was wondering about the white too, but I can’t find anything to back up my thought)
skigod377 wrote:I loved cory in 50 first dates. What a funny charater. So different from the hobbit in LOTR 😆
Wrong actor, hun. That’s Sean Astin. 😉
No way! The rainbows are lovely! Tho I can’t say I like the Scratcher in it much… I desperately want an SK in rainbow though.
Welcome!!

Yes indeed.
Hello, my name is Tara, and I’m an Addict. 😉travistie wrote:Greater Basilisk wrote:Not as far as I know. That’s why she won’t need it as a paint sample to copy.
I would love to give him a home, if nobody else will love him! *still drooling*
I bet Ski would love him, as would I. But I wouldn’t fight for him. He needs more love than being boxed up in a basement for 3 yrs. 😕
I don’t do research on artists (of any type of art), so mostly I don’t know how they are. But if I know they’re an @$$#073, especially if they were to me in person, then yeah, I’m definitely disinclined to spend a penny on their products, even if I think it’s good. If other people tend not to like them, I question what it is about them they don’t like. I may decide it’s not a good enough reason for me to discontinue my enjoyment of their wares. Or it may be a detestable reason & I choose to boycott them from then on. If they’re friendly and I like their stuff, I buy what I can when I can (though if it’s decorative art, rather than books or something, it does have to fit in with my odd anime/Japanese/fantasy/8-yr-old’s-room sense of decor).
But basically, for my money, it doesn’t pay to be a jerk!
