So you can order from On-line stores & Windstone with out the Guilt!!! 😛 😆 (I feel really guilty for that when I can get it right here, and windstone’s PoV don’t help)
March 14, 2008 at 4:36 am in reply to: If you could choose a Production Secret Keeper color? #662569So far I’ve oddly liked all the Windstone’s that have come out in Pink, and I generally hate Pink more than anything else!! Though as a “Pure Colour” My least fav colour is Purple, but it can usually be put on things decently. Pink not normally.
That’s the kind of Mark up I have to deal with here for “Brick & Mortar” shopping. I went and found at least 2 Noah’s Ark’s, cheapest one was $175. Hatcher’s are usually at least $75, so there’s no point in me buying 2 of anything to potentially sell on EvilBay.
Were you kind enough to have pointed them towards the forum? (Kind for who? I’m not sure.)
The dragons they do have on there look like the cheapies you get from stores like San Fransisco where they regularly charge $25, but will put them on “Sale” for something like $5. I’m certain I’ve actually seen some of those in there.
I’d love to see all 4 Rainbow hatcher’s together, at an angle that would allow you to compare size.
Wonder what the reserve is?
I already got the one for my aunt, had to pay over $150 for it, but I think the happiness she got from it was worth every penny!! It was my Mom’s, Marc’s, Khym’s and my Christmas gift to her.
However after having seen one in person I think I need one for myself now!! 😆

Also just had to go and blow $150 on 6 month Birthday Pics of Khym. We didn’t order many prints there either. But we did manage to get the professional (Ok so Sears “Professional”)photos done on his actually 6 Months Birthday!! (Sad thing is, they’re no more expensive, but still a better quality than the Wal*Mart “Professional” photo’s)
No scanner access at all or printer at home, no Internet yet either. And it’s more expensive to try and get them doubled at the local Photocopying place. That’s why we have to have ones for Biological Grandparents, the get theirs and then do the scan-Print-send thing to the rest of the family. Also that way we don’t miss anyone!!
*Whimper* Wish I knew where to go, but I don’t. And can’t go to far afield anyway. Need time off to do that. Probably wont make Trek at Vulcan again this year.
Make cloth Diapers(Don’t buy ’em for these types of events because they’ll be too “Finished”) that have to be tied at the sides and let her go in those. 😀 Also those slings that were talked about in another thread, if you can find the right ones you can use them, they’re actually based on Historical baby carriers. Just remember to think about what pattern and type of Fabric.
Cost us $40 this year, and only Pics for us and Grandparents.
I like the Black, but then again I have always loved black!! Very few little girls like black far less love it enough to want, have, and wear a Black Leather skirt and Top at 2 years old!! Few also have mothers that will allow them to have that!! But she drew the line at the White Doeskin dress. Man do I ever wish she hadn’t!! I want those outfits to fit me now!!

(sorry 😳 ) try breast feeding twins in public…… and then when they started to me mobile (out of stroller) we got the harness/leash thing so they could have some freedom and get lost. We got TONS of nasty comments from people and our standard retort was “better on a leashe than on the back of a milk carton….” Shut up a lot of people REAL fast. Just do what is best for you and the baby and society be d*mned! (rant, sorry)

My thoughts on the leash is, that more people should use them when the kids are younger, instead of trying to let/make their 5 year old sit in a stroller.
And those that don’t use them or the stroller(or have kids that can get out of the stroller) who’s children don’t behave and run off, and are little brats. should say nothing to anyone, and not think about it either, because the well trained dog still has to follow Leash laws, and they’re generally less likely to cause serious injury!!
If I have to leash my dog, why shouldn’t you have to leash your kid?
Also I found with at least one child I raised that the leash is actually far better when used when they’re little(like 2-3) the kids actually need it and that hard a control for less time. We have the basic Harness & the arm line, I don’t like the arm line as it is, I can just see the kid either taking it off on it’s own, or getting a dislocated shoulder. But being 6ft tall the harness isn’t long enough to hold with out bending over, and that little bit extra length gives the kid just enough line to learn exactly how far they should go for when off it. They same principle as when your training a dog. It’s scary how well that works!! 😯 😈
I had control of the little one while his mother had none. And could safely take him to big festivals/events, or the West Edmonton Mall!! Even off leash by the time he was 2 and a half.
I’m Canadian so I don’t think I can sign, but even with our theoretical good schools I’ve even looked into Homeschooling for Khym. He’s most likely going to go to a French Catholic school, but that doesn’t mean I would like to have my Options taken away. I would put him in a private school if I could find an appropriate one. But there’s none that I can find here. and I don’t want to ship him out!! and the French Catholic schools are the closest I can find, however if he wants to and the offer/accept him and he wants to go to the actually Riding school in France, I’ll happily ship him out, and then whine about only seeing him during long holidays!!! 🙁 But it’s something I had always wanted to do, so if opportunity knocks for him why am I gonna stifle him? We also still have a few more years before we have to get him into school so we will still be Mulling our options over. May still home school between My Mom, grandmother and I he should get some learning done. (my grandmother has actually been a teacher, among many other things)
