The first one went for an enormous amount – bid by another buyer who didn’t bother to research. The winning bid is $780 or something like that. BT is selling hers for $550! Now I wonder what the second green emp will go for.
I know, it’s just insane! The winner could have gotten BT’s emperor and an OW or a Lap or several others for that price.
Please PEOPLE do your research!
Ski already has one of the 4 violet-flames! In fact she got hers for a great price, relatively speaking. The one she wants is one of the 24 regular flames. 😀
Well, they look real to me, and one thing about the green one: the green dragons were the only ones to ever be produced with orange eyes (except for a few emeralds), so I’m tempted to think that it’s legit. I’ve seen hatchlings in both of those colors before, like others have said, maybe they’re the old versions.
Well, I just left neutral feedback and I don’t think I was too harsh in my comment: “item as described, shipping overcharge”. I’m not going to bother trying to get a partial refund, to me it’s just not worth the agravation.
I admit, I did not contact him before leaving the feedback, but 3 emails without response is my limit. He had a chance to do the right thing when he charged me for the shipping in the first place and he got greedy. I don’t see that I owe him anything.
This was a confusing issue for me because I am happy with the item, however after thinking about it and getting your feedback, I made up my mind that it just wasn’t enough and I, or any other buyer, should not have to put up with this kind of behaviour. A good buy is nice, but the rest of the shopping experience is important too.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback guys! 🙂
I’ll post pics tomorow, just have to borrow a friend’s camera…and I’ll PM you Keplilly.
Definitely peacock
🙁 I thought it would be simpler, I’ve never picked up a painbrush, or a paint pen for that matter, in my life… I guess I might leave it as is, it really is not that noticeable.
Thanks though! 🙂
Just PMed you.

(If anybody doesn’t know, for legal reasons, I host the black list on my forum, here.)
Just PMed you SPark, although I don’t know if it’s really worth putting him on the black list since this is the only Windstone he has ever sold…
dragonessjade wrote:I would think a netural and asking for shipping back would be sufficient. But then again, if they didn’t respond to the tracking…they probably wouldn’t respond. Have you tried to contact them thru ebay and their email address?
Yes tried both, and I know that he did get the emails because he replied to them… He just didn’t bother to answer the questions!
I think I’ll go for a neutral with comments. The main point to me really is the shipping overcharge, all of the rest I can live with… As far as getting a partial refund on the shipping, I don’t think I’ll even bother, I paid with a money order since the seller doesn’t have a paypal account. It’s too much trouble.

It boils down to how badly you want to leave the comments vs. how badly you want to protect your own feedback. Personally, I check out a person’s neutrals/negatives and take into consideration why it was left. I don’t like sellers that leave retaliatory feedback and I avoid buying from them.
I’m not really worried about retaliatory feedback, if a seller deserves a negative then I give him a negative no matter what they do in return. But I am trying to be fair… I am annoyed with this seller, so I’m tempted to leave a negative, but on the other hand, I am happy with my fledgling.
mimitrek wrote:I’ve only left negative feedback once, and that was only after the seller refused to give a refund though he said a mother/father/young dragon family was mint, and they actually had many chips and other blemishes — and after he left a nasty follow-up comment with false remarks when I filed a dispute with my credit card company to get a refund (I hadn’t yet left him any feedback at that point).
I think in your case I would just leave neutral feedback, since it got there safely and you thought the condition was acceptable. Also, this will prevent the seller from potentially leaving you retaliatory negative feedback. You should probably mention the bad points in your feedback comment.
By the way, did the seller advertise the shipping as $24 in the auction, or did they suddenly increase it after the auction?
He actually only had a quote for shipping in the US ($12.50) it seemed fair to me for a fledgling so I figured I would get a fair price for Canada. When I won the item and got the price with shipping I figured it might be a little bit inflated, but I only found out that it was more that 3 times higher than actual cost when I got the box.
