Please feel free to make comments…this whole situation is hysterical and no one else would ever believe me 🙂

    The Story:

I love Exotic animals…well all animals…but when I took in two Sugar Gliders, I never thought I would get such life lessons.

I had a male and female and they were breeding so I got all the males fixed. That is when the fun started. The older male wasn’t happy about having his nuts cut off and started to chew the area…

I almost lost him, but a lot of care and work and he survived.

Well, since then he has had a few episodes where he plays with his wanky sooo much that he gets it swollen and he can’t reel it back in….

Male Sugar Gliders like to play with their wankies and it is called Flossing…well he flossed so much last time that he had to wear and Elizabethan collar and get his wanky stitched in place for a week.

I came home tonight and he was at it again after at least a year of peace….

Of Course, I dug out the Elizabethan collar made of report cover plastic and mole skin and let me telling trying to put a collar that small on an animal that small is a job….and I had to do it myself….they have no real neck so you have to get it so tight you almost choke them….then you wait to make sure they don’t turn blue.

Then you have a period of thrashing and “crabbing” which sounds like an electric pencil sharpner. They throw themselves around and try to pull the collar off with their hands…

Then I stuck the neosporin on it and tried to push it back in with a human baby catheter…which he obviously didn’t appreciate….so he peed on me and tries to bite….

So now he is in a Sugar Glider sleeping pouch sitting in a towel next to me and if it isn’t better by morning, I will have to take off work, pray the exotic vet is around and go get him stitched up…

For a week after that, he must wear the collar and I must hand feed him and make him drink with a syringe…

Then I must endure the ribbing by my husband about the whole ridiculous fact that I have just spent an hour playing with my Sugar Glider’s wanky….

I just had to share with everyone the crazy lengths an animal lover will go to in order to care for a pet.

Edit: I forgot the part of my three cats trying to see what was going on, and Stoph opens doors…so I had to lock myself and Benji in the spare bathroom to get the ecollar on and play with the extruded wanky…. They obvoiusly wanted to play with Benji’s wanky too!

Here are pictures of Benji when he last had a wanky issue. Pics of ecollar:

And just think, I had to open my big mouth about them. Instead of jsut asking behind the scenes. 🙄 Where I might have been able to get one.

I think there are 8 of these mystery castles in existence. I get one of them, that leaves 7. Should be plenty for each of you to get one…
oh wait, I just counted ten of you…

Thanks Everyone! Melody said there are 8 and 7 for Ebay…and they are all supposed to be different test paints, I believe…..

Good luck on the next one Ski!

    Yikes, alright-

Instead of throwing an angry response, though, I’ll just say all’s fair in love and ebay. Sorry I didn’t check here first, and honestly sorry you didn’t win, but you can’t just call an auction and expect everyone to hands off.

You shouldn’t be sorry….you had the inspiration and the dollars to buy him. Ebay does auctions…so the person who wants the item the most and has the money to pay for it, is the person who gets it.

You should not have to appologize to anyone because you got something off of ebay.

I have a few friends here…but you have to take the gloves off when you get on ebay..and I have told other forum members…if you want the item..then bid for it…and don’t feel bad at the outcome!

Just because someone has a tantrum on the forum should not discourage others from posting and it should not discourage people from bidding on ebay.

This is a free country and you can bid what you want to buy what you want …

Congratulations! I hate seeing people appologize for bidding against another forum member…that is just silly….

Congrats and the pair looks fantastic! I never thought of the Lap as a mate to an OW…but they do fit….

But what would that make the Scratcher??? A second female or a male? I always thought of the Lap as the girl and the Scratcher as the boy…

And the Royal hatchers as the babies of the OW…..

Congrats on the Win Arlla!! (I Gotta go back to Ebay Now!) 😈 😈 😈

yes….I had when it happens….and it’s worse when it happens to you…

but the seller has been really good…after the first email….

so I think we came to an agreement and I’ll be happy to leave positive feedback….

The whole thing is…that it really isn’t hard to put a bunch of bubble wrap and double box….

And what a waste that a retired piece is broken…

I also get frustrated when they say new or mint and there are marks or chips all over it and you point them out and they act like they have NO IDEA what you mean….because when they mailed it in the Mailer bag it was like it was brand new!

If I have to speculate…then I say he will sell for $3000.00, no less for sure!

I bet his reserve is $2500.00

    Just my 2 cents…..

I just got a “New” Peacock hatcher that has yellow spots on the egg and has some of the topcoat worn off…the seller swears it was “new” when she sent it to me via USPS in a SMALL MAILER BAG of all things…with NO Packing material whatsoever and can’t understand why I am sending it back for a refund…….

Mind you Not Even a Box! People are nuts!

The issue is we live in a world where things are valued at whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

When any of us engages in an auction, we must understand that the person who wants the item the most and has the money to pay for it, will get it.

It isn’t fair…I would love to go to a car Auction and buy my husband a 1970 GS Stage I Buick for 20k, but unfortunately…that will never happen.

The whole point is..in a fair market economy…things are worth what someone is willing to pay for them..

Good for Windstone…not so good for the Collector. I get frustrated when someone way out bids me on something I want….but I can’t begrudge them the fact that they are obviously willing to pay more for it than me.

I have been sniped plenty and I have sniped myself and try to just look at it the same way I look at life….sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t…..

And I set a limit in my mind about what I am willing to spend. If the auction goes to high, usually I will find a piece that is actually less when I troll through Ebay or buy or sell here on the forum.

Maybe if there is something you want…post it in flea market….I have found some of the best deals there and there is a straight up agreement with the two people.

The Flea Market is a great place and I have not had to resort to selling anything on Ebay! I get what I want and the buyer or seller gets what they want and everyone is happy.

I think the Flea Market is a much better place to do business than ebay.

    Good Luck!

Chupacabra’s sister is actually the color of your Claire…I looked it up and found out it is called a “Patched Tabby” and they are almost always females like Calicos and Tortishells.

    Here is Chewy…

    Thistle and Thorn the Hedgehogs

Mephistopheles (black), Tatsu (tabby) and Red the Min Pin

    Tina (dachshund) Czar (min pin)
(Czar is currently available for adoption and will make someone a lovely pet…
if you know anyone who is looking for a Min Pin…
I rescue Min Pins and rehome the ones who would
    make good pets)

There are a lot more….but I didn’t want to take up the whole thread 🙂
