Melody actually gave me a choice of what I wanted. She asked what general type I’d like, I told her I’d love love love a dragon, and I gave her a list of the sculpts I already had.
So if someone else had won they would have gotten something else, most likely!
But it feels extra special to have been able to have some choice in it. ^^

The color is more like the first photo, without flash. But wow! She was my raffle win for Feb 2013!
Love her so much! She really has all sorts of colors on her. She even has a streak of pink on the crest of her tail!

It arrived! It arrived! It’s an amazing rising spectral in a color that I call golden rainbow! Predominantly gold but with a rainbow of colors on wings/limbs/face/etc.
I’ll take some pics tonight or tomorrow!
Just curious. What was the raffle prize for Feb 2013? (I live vicariouslly through photos in this forum and I need a new fix…)
I’m not telling. Perhaps the winner will post a pic when it arrives?
And now that I think about it… do you have an estimate of when I should expect it? I keep being paranoid that I somehow missed it and my neighbors kidnapped it or something…

I have a peacock sitting spectral that I never quite fell in love with. It has the tag but no box.One of his claws had a chip fall off that I later glued back on and repainted. It isn’t a perfect repaint job but it’s such a small spot on him that it isn’t really noticeable.
I am a real bat nut and was wondering if I could get any trades for him that would include one of the new vampire bats. Obviously a bat isn’t the same in value as a spectral… so something else would have to be thrown into the trade too. Money? Another windstone? More bats? Lol… I don’t know.
I just thought I’d put feelers out there and see what turned up! I love the bats so much, but I’m a grad student so don’t exactly have money to go throwing around after cute bats, unfortunately.
I’ll provide pictures if you want ’em!
Thank you, Papercut! That shelf was a very lucky find at a thrift store. It was only maybe $25-30! I was shocked to see something so pretty for such a good price and immediately I knew I wanted to use it to display my windstones. It’s so nice to finally see it set up like I imagined!
I finally have a good picture of my windstone collection! I moved to a new place in August and only recently managed to transport all my windstones over. Now they’re all happy in their new shelf for display and I am happy to look at them!
I also have the hatching tortoise but it’s sitting somewhere else in my apartment. It didn’t quite fit in with the dragons.
The lovely lady in the center of the dragons on the bottom shelf is a book character I love, Daenerys Targaryen. She hatches dragons in the books and is known as the “Mother of Dragons,” so I thought it would be very appropriate to display her with them!
I don’t know if anyone will be interested at all in what I have to offer… but heck! might as well try!
Back when I was in high school I collected a bunch of manga that I have absolutely no desire to keep now. I’ve recently moved to another state and all this manga technically is still at my parents’ home in Virginia. Because of that, I don’t remember exaaaaaaactly what I have, but I can give some pretty good guesses! I’m seeing the parentals in a week (and again mid-september), so if anyone was interested in a trade I could get the manga fairly quickly.
Here is my expected inventory:
– Hot Gimmick (the complete series, volumes 1-10)
– Hana Kimi (can’t quite remember how many I have, somewhere around 30 starting from the beginning)
– Saiyuki Reload (The first 7-8 volumes of Reload in Japanese and non-translated.)
– Antique Bakery (The full series, somewhere around 4 or 5 manga)
– … some other stuff. If anyone is seriously interested I’ll get a more detailed inventory!What I want:
– Windstones! I have a very small collection right now so would lurve just about anything
– Cat stuff! I have a new sphynx kitten and could use stuff for him… as long as it isn’t too chewed up
