Another pebble kitty! I still dream of seeing these guys in the store as a regular thing someday. I treasure my pebble wolf. <3
I’m a little confused because the pebble cat that is on ebay WAS in the store for a while.. I remember getting one for somewhere around $30. I bought it on a whim for my sister who had an orange cat, and it was relatively close in color and a low enough price that I could just get it for fun.. but this one on ebay is skyrocketing in price.. I don’t get it..
Are they just offering them as ebay auctions now? :/

hmmm, right now I am getting a batch of fantasy color unicorn colts together, and a goof up batch of grab bag curlies. We do have a nice cart full of young poads waiting. I can’t be sure when I will get to them though. Maybe three months from now? – but don’t hold me to that! I never know what’s gonna happen.We may have the baby poads done by then ( a size between the Young and Tadpoad).
Good enough for me! 😀 I’ll ask again in a few months – definitely gives me time to plan and save! Thanks Melody!

I am loving this pattern on your purple guy! Serendipity’s green one has the same pattern, it’s so pretty! It reminds me of a moth 🙂 Melody, these are above and beyond beautiful 🙂
So excited that mine arrived today! And, they’re even more beautiful in person than in the tadpoad parade. Purple& black batwing guy was one of my favs from the livestream, so this will be a first for me getting one of my top choices.

The paint that I used was the kind that you bake in the oven after you paint it on. The eyes that I painted have been fine (the backs haven’t flaked off or peeled off) for over a year. I was so discouraged by people telling me that they wouldn’t last that I stopped bothering to make them. I have still not seen any cracking, peeling, or flaking though.

I feel like the tuft thing cheapens what is already a pretty cute sculpture. Chances are good that when I figure out which one/ones I am going to keep, I’ll be removing these and filling in the divet on the head. It just seems weird to me to add these synthetic fibers to a gypsum statue :/In any case, here are my guys. I am getting 2 more, and will be looking at trades for all of them unless I fall in love with one – I don’t have anything particular in mind for a trade, so if you like one, send me an offer 🙂

They look neat, but I am always very wary when I see people using photoshop on their product images. I want to see the actual completed eye I am purchasing, not an image on top of another image of eyes in someone’s hand.
Still, they look cool. I just don’t know that I would chance buying them without seeing actual images of the eyes I was interested in.
