that’s totally better….big pointy ears with hair sticking out fits me much better…..
starbreeze wrote:one of your nuts…of course… π
oh…ok….as long as it’s nothing important
mimitrek wrote:Good point!
In that case, here we are all together…Ski, you, me, and Frozen…oooh, we look nice…
you guys are silly….I would have picked the red haired one with the hair sticking up…
but the black one is fine too….
although I would like to know what I’m trying to shove in my mouth…..
Merry Christmas….
great pic Ski….but you shoulda left em pink….or photoshopped them red and green…. π
Merry Christmas…
none of my dragons have clothes…..I have too many to afford clothing….LOL
skigod377 wrote:Yeah. the pics are pretty accurate. I think the gold may show up a little more, but other than that, its the same.
yeah that one is definitely a keeper….very nice
skigod377 wrote:Hmmmm…I dont know who Dgillist is, but he outbid Star, and is bidding on the albino griffin. It doesn’t look like he bought Windstones before, either. Anyone know him/her?
nope….never heard of em…that I know of
skigod377 wrote:Melody wrote:I don’t understand why the sellers do that.. why not state the reserve price, isn’t that the same thing as having an opening bid amount? What is the advantage of having it be a dark secret?? Anybody know?
The only advantage I can see is that more people bid when the bid starts at $.99. It shows interest in the piece, and you know how that is…no one wants it till someone else does. I never kept track, but it may be cheaper to have a reserve than to have a higher starting bid (Ebay fees.) I am not positive, but its a possibility. Its a bummer for a seller to post a piece for $200, (Or whatever) and then noone bids till the very end. I prefer to see bids on my item.
I do think it has to do with fees….I think a reserve is something like ten cents but they take so much percent from your starting price….and of course from your ending price….so you could save a little by starting at a lower price and having a reserve….
but I’d rather start it at what I want so I know if it sells I can get at least that…and then have a BIN a little more…and either way I’m pretty safe….
but that’s just me
skigod377 wrote:Yeah..that is a real pain. The wolves are not bad at all though, hu, Frozen?
nope….cheryl’s took me two days because of detail and sealers…
the other one took me a day and a half because of cheap Michael’s paint and having to fix it…but a basic color paint wouldn’t take long at all….
starbreeze wrote:I have the jade female oriental and an emerald male oriental and there really is a big difference. When I got them, they were each labeled with the appropriate color. I really do like the jade the best…
I can’t remember which one I got him….it had a crystal ball somewhere…and horns….and one of the horns broke loose and two of the toes broke….and he tried to glue it all back together…..
he’s a dork though….
skigod377 wrote:To quote you…Ewwwwwww.
LOL….I know huh
skigod377 wrote:Its perfectly ok. That thing was my paint sample and the only way to salvage it was to make the whole thing black and then play with the interference paints a bit. I must say, though, I am very pleased with the end result. The way there was real rocky, but the end is nice. And I agree, Star… Why dont you try to paint one? The wolves were not too hard. The griffins are hard, the dragons are fun, and the ki rins are not intimidating. The only one I would not recommend is the griffin.
the dragon has all those nooks and crannies….it’s hard to get all the paint in the right spot…
skigod377 wrote:littleironhorse wrote:Now we have to know! What is the packing material? You can’t just say things like that and just leave us (okay me) hanging!
(Curiosity may have killed the cat but it certainly never did anything to me π )
I was wondering that myself!
was it toilley paper…..I did that to someone one….because they were rude after the auction…..so I wrapped it in a roll of toilley paper and lots of tape….
they never said anything else…..not even feedback….LOL π
at least I did wipe with it…
skigod377 wrote:starbreeze wrote:shoot!!!! I like him too…no fair…it’s too close to Christmas!!!!

Yeah, this is a bad time for sellers to list, but its sad only seeing 18 or so items up there! Its ok if they go for a lower price. I just want them to have good homes. And how come we dont see your PYOs?
because…..I do all of them…..and she isn’t allowed to sell them…..
or it’ll make me cry… π₯
LOL…although we should try to get her to paint one… π
and I do like that griffin on ebay ski….it looks really nice….but I think I’m way too poor to win it…
mimitrek wrote:Sure, you can come…but the problem right now is that we need to get visas first and I haven’t yet figured out how to contact the government of SquirrelLand…
But SquirrelLand would be an awesome place to visit…among other things, they’re probably experts at making nut flavored ice creams and I love those…
I have my passport….screw the visa….
