I would guess by now it would be too late tonight but hope it’s tomorrow!
I’m surprised Susie didn’t say anything like they weren’t coming out tonight. Usually she is really good about giving us a heads up.
I’m still here too, waiting and hoping! Crossing my fingers that tonight is the night!!
So…since Susie logged off…no tanukis tonight I guess. Here on the east coast it is getting way past my bedtime.
There is a picture on Melodys Facebook page of some grab bag Cougars. If anyone who is more computer savvy than me can post them here please 🙂 . They look so awesome!
I’m hoping it will be a bit before they come out, really want now after seeing the picture and need to save.So in the words of my children…if the tanukis come out tomorrow, it will be tanuki Tuesday instead of taco Tuesday lol.

Oh my gosh! The second last Cougar is … is… I just don’t have words!!! I am very anxious for this batch to be released! They are incredible!! I can’t say enough, how I wish the wolves had received similar coats.
The latest colt on eBay is really nice. It shot up in price pretty quickly. I think I have seen some baby ones that match it so maybe someone is trying to get a matching pair. Really love the blue and purple paint and spots.

Please do not refresh our store a zillion times to see if they’ve been added (you may refresh your email a zillion times to see if they have been announced instead!)
Remember that you may not run auto-refreshing programs or scripts on our website to find out when something new has been added – those things slow everything WAY down and can result in the user being blocked from the site. The Tanukis will not go into the store during the weekend (you can all relax!) – if all goes well, it will be some time next week. We do not have a price for them yet, nor have we settled the batch decision (one batch of all, or two batches separating the styles) – whichever it is, it will be One Per Customer Only, Please.

I’m assuming these will not be going into the store tonight, since they still need to be packed :)….or we could pick our favorites out 😉
We can’t really limit people to one, when there are two batches, I don’t think Susie can possibly sort that one out.
Maybe I should just make em all fancy.I think that if there is enough fancy ones, release them and then make more of the plain ones for a later release. Like with the brindle wolves. But I agree a lot of us like the plain ones and those should stay plain, in a different batch. The hippie batch was very small too and was released with the larger batch of hoppy ones.
After further study … I’m almost certain that the “Plain” tanuki photos show the same group from two different angles. Maybe there is another batch of Plain tanukis that hasn’t been photographed yet?
Yews there3 is another batch on my painting wheel that isn’t finished. There are still more fancy ones than plain ones though. i just checked and this is it for this batch of castings. About 125 total, two rejects, 65 fancy, 6 mantis shrimp, and the rest plain.
only 6 mantis shrimp??? *kicks dirt around, then goes off to pout in a corner somewhere*
LOL! Just joshin! Seems like the batches of fancy and beautifully plain, are close to being even in numbers…No matter how you do it, 125 will sell out within the first hour…I think if there are 2 batches, and one sells out quicker than the other, people will have wasted time, going back, to try and put one from the other batch in their cart, and could lose out all together…especially with the way the site crashes when GBs are released. I would like to change my answer…
1 batch, 1 per customer. …. If separating the batches and doing 1 per customer doesn’t work
You start getting into 2 separate batches, 1 per customer per batch…a lot of people miss out.
Hmmm… that’s a good point. So, I think I’ll change my vote, for whatever it’s worth to one batch, one per customer too. Spreads them out so more people can get one.
I think that since both kinds are so different two batches would be the best way to go. I know there is trading after but sometimes that can be expensive. Whether or not it is one per batch or limit of one, I don’t know. I find that even with a limit of one people still end up with more than one. I like the fancy ones and if it is one batch, my luck would be I would get a plain one.
Absolutely love the fancy one that looks like stained glass on the paint scheme. Tempted to go for the fancy’s but with my luck at GB’s I’m certain that I’d get a leafy one.
Most of the fancy ones have a leaf-like pattern.
So would these maybe be out next week? I just love the turtle shell one and the octopus, and the stained glass and the cougar and all of them lol.

Do we know roughly how many Tanukis are in the GB Batch?
There’s about 125, but I may divide them into two batches , plain and fancy.
The plain colored ones are so pretty that I hate to stick stuff on them just to make the look like the the decorated ones. What do you think , two batches or one batch with both kinds mixed up?I like the idea of two batches. Plain and fancy. Sort of like the hippies and hoppies with the baby poads.
