The blue green opals are just another colour for opal stones and happen in black opal, crystal, boulder, or white opal. Depending on the backing (potch) and how the colour faces depends on the brilliance. If you have a stone that faces well that is backed by black potch you will get a black gem opal, if you have it backed on a gray or dark gray potch it is still a black opal but the color may not seem as intense. if you have a crystal opal with green and blue, and you put it on a black cloth it will alot of times become more intense vs if you hold it up to the light. It all is dependent on the material you have to work with, right now i have a piece that MAY cut a nice green on black but i have not decided what to do with the stone yet.

Okay the new batch of opals is in from the mine =P and i am cutting away. however i have to take a two day siesta on the 13th and 14th due to barracks inspection on the 14th =p so no durtying up my room with opal dust till after that.. then ill see if i can get some photos and whatnot for yall. =)
