I finally wrangled my Clutter up for a photo op with the arrival of the smallest member.

Please pardon the somewhat washed out color, it’s so overcast outside I had to make due with indoors.

My little lady arrived today. She’s a bit more tropical than I usually go for, but she is lovely all the same. No eye-spots but the feathers are lovely. If she tickles your fancy and you want to trade shoot me a pm.

Please pardon the pictures, we are completely overcast today.

I’ll be turning 36 in three months. I got my very first dragon, a peacock mother, from my boyfriend’s Mom when I was just 13. Over the years she became my Mum-in-law and was responsible for at least half of my collection. My love has always been the old Peacock family, and I was fortunate enough to receive the final piece I had been missing just this last year from my own Mom. I’ll always cherish these pieces that the two amazing ladies in my life have given me, they are a constant and welcome reminder of two people I miss very much.

My husband just smiles at me and shakes his head as I do my best to add to my latest addiction. Poads! I have been fortunate enough to purchase two adult ooak and of course my precious grab bag young Poads who proudly sit with my Autumn Leaf adult to keep them safely out of trouble. I think I am creeping up toward the thirty pieces mark so it’s a small but much loved collection.

I have to keep reminding myself I know life isn’t fair. This suck.. this sucks on a level I can’t begin to put into words. I think that about sums it up.. it sucks. Thank you all for your well wishes, I have very much appreciated them.

I need someplace to vent and whine so please bare with me while I have a bit of a moment here.

Two years ago we struggled through my Mother In Laws illness, serving as primary care giver as she battled cancer. I was fortunate to have this strong vibrant woman in my life since I was twelve and she was very much a second mother to me. I was so very grateful for the time with her, but every day was a heart breaking battle, and we were devistated when we lost her just six short months after she was diagnosed.

A little over a week ago we learned that my Mother has cancer. She has had health issues for nearly five years now since she hurt her back at work, and the doctors had just started to get her to a point where she was comfortable again. Around Christmas we started to notice that she was a little weaker and a little more in pain than she had been. She went to the doctor and they said all was well. Over the last couple of months she has slowly started to get deteriorate step by step until she was nearly unable to walk and she started to look jaundice. She finally returned to the doctor again and this time was told some of her levels were elevated. Another doctor in the same complex took one look at her in the hallway and told her to go to the emergency room because he had an inkling that she was sicker than she looked. It turns out he was right. We were told that night that she had liver cancer, and with her levels it did not look promising.

Today was her oncology appointment.. and today was the day that they told us she will be with us at most another three months if we are very, very lucky. It is too advanced for surgery, her levels are too elevated for any manner of treatment.. so here we are tonight talking about hospice options. The doctors are not optimistic that is she will be with us beyond a handful of weeks and I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that in a short while I will be putting to rest the woman who gave me life. She’s only 58. I know we are not the first family out there to go through stuff like this but it is hard to feel much of anything beyond the devastated feeling of loss.

We are struggling with mounting ammonia levels and how they are affecting her brain, causing her horrible confusion and tremors. At this point perhaps it is a blessing that she really doesn’t understand what is happening to her, or how the days are passing. I count my luckily stars that at least her pain is under control and we have whatever little time we have left with her. I never thought we would be facing this task twice in our lives, let alone in a two year span.

You are welcome to make your Fuzzies whatever size you please, and of whatever you would like to use, it is sort of a make your own breed swap.

The Travel Fuzzie can be any size you wish to make it, large or small. And by all means you can make one to send out without having to host one yourself, we should have no trouble finding it an address as it’s first stop along it’s trip.

It would be you mailing your fuzzy directly to another person, not to me.

I love Susie’s idea here. I think the different events would let people do what they want to do without as much fuss.

I’ll offer to host the home made fuzzy event and the traveling fuzzies.

This has wandered off of where I was trying to go with it. The object of the swap is to make a unique fuzzy to send off to another person, hence the swap. You will get a one of a kind fuzzy back in return. That is the simple of it.

The idea of a post card or passport came about as a small addition, just something neat to send with it. If people are inclined to do so, a second fuzzy could be sent along with the first as a travel buddy, something to be sent on down the line much like the Windstone traveling fuzzies. If you fall in love with the traveling fuzzy, swap it out for one you already have and send that one on down the line to someone else to host. This second part was just a fun addition but not something that is required for the swap.

So as it stands, make a fuzzy to send to your swap partner and you get one in return. If you want to send a travel fuzzy that you already own, please feel free to do so and include a small post card or passports with it’s likes and dislikes and maybe a picture. If you do not want to send one, feel free not to.

I’d like to run sign up through April 8th, if you want to join up please let me know through pm or email at Ciarnet@earthlink.net. Please title it Fuzzy Swap and let me know what you are wanting to participate in. (Swap and travel or just Swap). This will be a blind swap, meaning just your name and address are needed and you will have a fuzzy heading your way.

I have two large ones the size of Purple, Blue, and Red that I would be willing to send out to travel if anyone would like to host them. I will send them out to someone who joins the travel group with the end goal of them eventually joining their friends at Windstone under Susie’s wonderful care.

                                Enjoy!

96037, if you are up for designing a pass port that would be fantastic! I don’t mind setting up the swap and making sure that everyone gets to where they are going. I think it would be a great idea to have some of them earn some mileage on their passports!

I am definately open to suggestions or other ideas if anyone has them.
