Oh, and now the Ziger Male Pegasus and Tiger Male Griffin – gorgeous, handsome fellows!! Melody painted them both.

…And i would bid on the Griffin if he weren’t already higher on bidding than i can justify right now.

…. i think we’d all be grateful if Wampus posts them here in the forum-sized versions of the pics. 🙂

I miss Wampus’ posts, too! Such a good job. 🙂 I thought about trying to do it, but couldn’t figure out how the pictures were linked to the eBay site?? I’m not very computer literate.

Completely agree on the “Tiger” and “Ziger”! I have to keep telling myself, “You only collect dragons, you only collect dragons…..don’t bid, don’t bid….” lol, just incredible artwork again and again from Melody.

I still think my favorites are the Serval and the Leopard Griffins, but this Tiger is spectacular.

So funny you brought this up….I will step up and admit it. I am a “Compulsive Classified Ad Checker”. I check frequently, and LOVE LOVE LOVE the new format.

Anyone else with me on creating group therapy? We could chant “We will not check…till we can write the check!” 😉

You got him for a great price!

Thanks, I am still in shock. Happy shock, but I keep being afraid I’m going to “wake up and it was just a dream and he sold for $400+”.

I can’t believe there was no love for the Indigo Ice Male!! Of course, I am not complaining, because he will come live with me and I will love him and pet him and call him George.

In the old days, before ebay existed, we would keep the samples that turned out nice and destroy the rest.

Who else wanted to cry when they read this? The word “destroy” wounds me.

This is an issue I have given much thought to over the years. I must admit, I am an original snob. My husband hates me for it. But, he has his cars…I have my art!

I love the thought that Melody HERSELF painted the piece. Call me a geek, but it gives me a thrill to hold something in my hand that I know she personally painted. I have a romantic image of her poised over a workdesk, turning my piece over and over and dabbing with her brush, bringing it to life. Even if the color became production, there would never be the detail given by Melody in each piece.

That LEOPARD is astounding, he is my favorite so far. Please tell us which eyes you picked! These cat griffins are the way griffins should be.

With that being said, I realize most people are not like me. It never occurred to me to make a “set” of dragons all in the same color; it would not be financially feasible for me. I tried to pick for what color I thought looked best on the sculpt. So, I ended up with dragons in all colors but different sculpts.

I would be the person willing to pay the extra money for a test paint piece, but I have a feeling it’s a very small niche.

Those copper flame hatchers are beautiful! And so nice that you got the set, they really look great together.

I was so fortunate to end up with both babies!! I consider myself very very lucky. And, very lucky that they match!

Sorry to hear about your recent loss on that Mahogany empress. Until you pointed the differences out between her and the emperor, I didn’t really notice either. I kind of like the “matching” look….

I received a WONDERFUL Windstone box last week and have been waiting for a nice, sunny day for pics! Finally, got my chance.

Here is the Copper Flame male, he is hard to photograph. Much more red than the eBay pics, and lots of color shading. I see now that red is hard to photograph.

And, finally, Bronze Patina Spectral. This is my FAVORITE spectral by far. I have never been a big fan of the eyes, but they seem to belong on this piece. Plus, he has lots and lots of sparkle (that did not photograph well).

I hope a forum member won that Ornate Hawk Griffin so we can see what eyes they picked!!! That was a stunning piece, I really expected it to sell for more. If you won him, post pics! Pretty please with puppy dog eyes? 🙂
