At the very, very least, she sounds as though she could have a Borderline Personality Disorder, if not BiPolar.

Did I hear my name mentioned? my ears are burning…Oh god they really are!!!! *runs around screaming and then dunks head in toilet* That was really quite refreshing.

Sorry things just got do serious that I had to offer up some comic relief.

As one that suffers from Bipolar disorder I can see what PT is saying. When I was going through my worst episodes I would get really frustrated and angry for no reason. That in no way excuses physical abuse. But I think tis goes beyond a disease it sounds to me like she’s used to getting her way no matter what and if she doesn’t get her way making herself the victim.

I saw a commercial for “Dr Phil” (I loathe him) that reminded me of your situation. In the case the soon to be daughter-in-law would not allow the mother-in-law to her wedding. As soon as I heard her mother in law I knew why. She could not face her own problems for one second, I have an aunt that’s this way. She actively tried to ruin my uncle’s relationship with his wife, she stalked him, and all kinds of other things. But whenever you talked to her it was about how horrible you were treating her and that you weren’t being this and that. She twisted every word said to her to be hateful and then she tried to spread lies and half truths to all other relatives and friends.

We had to just cut her out of our life.

“Ho Ho Ho” offensive? It’s something that everyone associates with santa from childhood. They aren’t even meant to be words!!! It’s his way of laughing. Well what about all the people who are colorblind and can’t tell if santa is wearing red or green should they change his outfit to purple to keep people from being offended? People can choose to be offended by whatever they want. I say let them. If they don’t want to hear santa they can put in earplugs whenever they go by.

Many people have gotten into trouble with their bosses and potential hirers etc for posting stuff on myspace and facebook and such. Unless you hide your identity you have to not post things that can get you into trouble when i made my first myspace page I used a fake name for reasons like that. Then i realized i was never going to use it for a blog or anything like that because i only go on it to talk to friends from anthropology and now here.

yep it’s a scam. I wouldn’t bother replying at all. You don’t want to give them any information about yourself cause they’ll probably sell it.

I must say that I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement. Striking is using the power of numbers and the fact that the companies NEED you just as much as you NEED them. The civil war is an example of this very same thing. In fact many wars are fought over unequal symbiosis.

Also striking is just as risky as becoming independent because there are many people that will gladly take your jobs for less than what you want…but often they aren’t as qualified or as good as you were.

The unions were created for a reason. Work like everything else obeys the principles of supply and demand. Unfortunately in many places in America due to the flood of immigration to this country the demand far outraces the supply. Thus causing lots of competition for work. Suffice it to say that it would be in the interest of the business to have everyone working three jobs none of them providing health care and if they asked for a raise they would be fired and replaced by someone else. Most business owners are not that cruel. But if one business starts doing it and then out profits all its competitors you better believe their competitors would start doing the same thing to survive.

The world isn’t fair, that’s why we should be.

There’s another thread here about NaNo that we started for last year’s event, and I was wondering, how many folks are doin’ it again?

Yeah… I’m at 3000 and… I DON’T HAVE A PLOT AT ALL. This is sort of terrifying, since the last two years I’ve NaNo’d I had at least a general concept of a plot a good few months beforehand. And this time I haven’t got a thing. And I’m already 3k words into a story that doesn’t exist. Whooooao.

Can you let me see what you’ve got? I actually happen to be quite good at helping people with stories in progress, though you kind of have to keep me from putting my on words into your story. But since you don’t have a story I also happen to be very good at creating stories out of nothing, though since you don’t have nothing that could be a problem 😆

My freakiest dream, and you’ll all probably stop talking to me after i tell it, is one where I was in a murder mystery. The catch is that I was the murderer. I probably shouldn’t have brought it up, I don’t remember much of it partially because I really don’t like thinking about it.

It’s not so much as lacking things to do or watch. It’s jobs and money going to our state and country.

We talked about it in my film class and had two guests one from each side. The consensus seemed to be that the writers demands are just in relation to the internet business because if they don’t establish some residuals now none will be coming in for long into the future when internet TV and movie will be more profitable. I think they should get piece of the advertising money because they wrote the shows that are attracting the business. However the heads of the WGA are inexperienced with dealing with the corporations that run the networks nowadays and made the mistakes of going about bargaining the wrong way.

The scary thing is that if SAG strikes which is very likely. The heads of SAG are just off in another world and there is likely to be infighting within SAG and we may have no TV and new movies for sometime.
