Is the PYO commission thread about selling commissions, or commissioning others?
This is where you would commission an artist, so we’re talking sales; that’s probably why the thread is in the flea market. We could put an alias in the PYO section too.
Yes, this. I just associate that thread with the PYO forum and was wondering if anyone else was the same. Actually, it would be kinda sweet if the thread could follow the laws of quantum physics and be in two places at the same time. But it’s not a big deal. My brain just works differently. XD
OK, this is a bit unrelated, but I am curious to know if I am the only one. After browsing the PYO forum and finding something I like, I’ll go to the top of the forum to look for the PYO commission thread to see if their info is listed. After staring at the screen wondering where in the world the thread went, I finally remember that it’s in the flea market. You think I would know by now. LOL! Does anyone else do this? For some reason, I never associated that sticky with the flea market. My brain just links PYO thread to the PYO forum.
Hmmm… So would the thread be moved to the WTB section?
I agree with everything that kiya said, but I think bumping should be 7 days (it’s just easier to remember on a weekly basis).
I am fully behind separating the forums – Trade only, Buy, and Sell. That would make things much easier to sort through. 🙂
I don’t like Craigslist. I think the ability to add pieces, edit, change prices, etc. is the best part of the sale forum. Plus, I really don’t want to track down multiple sale threads by a single user to try to make a deal on multiple pieces. I like all their info on one thread.
I think one of the problems is that there are members who don’t change the title of threads to say “Updated 12/6” or “Kirin Added”. Also, not REMOVING sold items/pics or marking them as SOLD causes problems. I check the first couple of posts in a thread for pics, prices, etc. If the pics fall in the middle of the thread, then I don’t bother because I don’t know what’s current and what’s not. This is, of course, the responsibility of the member who posted the thread, and it’s their loss if their thread is confusing. Again, this is self-regulation.
(Speaking of which, this is the reason I gave up looking through the GB threads because it was hard to know what was still available and what had been sold, but that’s just the nature of the beast when it comes to GBs… LOL)
I also like discussions on the sale threads, because sometimes you get more information about the pieces this way. Bumping to say you sold something could probably be eliminated. Just remove the pic of the sold item or mark it as sold. I see no need to bump a thread for something that is no longer there.
I also have no problem clicking to the second page (or even third or forth page) of the sale forum to find threads. And indeed, I have purchased items on threads that were all the way on the third page. Clicking isn’t hard! LOL! 😛

Yah, it was really hard trying to get all the info in. Each take I did had different bits of info in it and I just had to go with the one I thought was best. But there’s no way I could actually do a painting tutorial in under 5 minutes! LOL! XD
Sometime next year after I am moved, I’ll probably make a longer painting one (like my “Muse in progress” thread, only a video this time).
I’m totally enjoying everyone’s videos! 🙂
