I stopped payment on it today. It costs me $32 DOLLARS… not 10, not 25… 32!!! That’s half a curly payment! Heck, that’s a PYO! 🙄 I can’t believe how ticked I am. I was expecting to pay $25, but when they said $32, it just added salt to the wound. This is why I do PayPal… LOL.
I keep telling myself it’s only money, but it doesn’t help. 😳
Out of all the Windstones I’ve collected in the past couple months, none have given me this much trouble. Some experiences have been downright fantastic. I won an old green male off of ebay, and after I sent my payment, I received an e-mail asking if I wanted it dropped off at my work. Wait… dropped off!? Yep, the seller lived in the same town, and he refunded me the shipping. I got it the next day. What are the odds of that happening!??
This must be karma working itself out. 😈

Edit: Well, I went ahead and checked the database and it lists both the dark and light versions for the oriental sun as well, so I guess it just depends on which one you want or already have.
Here’s the history on the colors.
The traditional colors of Mardi Gras are purple (symbolic of justice), green (symbolic of faith) and gold (symbolic of power). The accepted story behind the original selection of these colors originates from 1872 when the Grand Duke Alexis Romanoff of Russia visited New Orleans. It is said that the Grand Duke came to the city in pursuit of an actress named Lydia Thompson. During his stay, he was given the honor of selecting the official Mardi Gras colors by the Krewe of Rex…thus, did these colors also become the colors of the House of Romanoff. The 1892 Rex Parade theme (“Symbolism of Colors”) first gave meaning to the representation of the official Mardi Gras colors. Interestingly, the colors of Mardi Gras influenced the choice of school colors for the Lousiana arch-rival colleges, Louisiana State University and Tulane University. Whe LSU was deciding on its colors, the stores in New Orleans had stocked-up on fabrics of purple, green and gold for the upcoming Mardi Gras Season. LSU, opting for purple and gold, bought a large quantity of the available cloth. Tulane purchased much of the only remaining color…green (Tulane’s colors are green and white).
I already have mini Mardi Gras beads made for my PYO Keeper (when I can get my hands on one). It’s going to be called… “Throw Me Somethin” 😆 My family is BIG into Mardi Gras and actually ride in Isis. I will be making plenty of Mardi Gras dragons. 😀

Angel, this was an actual store, not a website. If it would have been a website, I would have used paypal to pay for it, and I would not have had this problem with my check. I still have to get the darn thing cancelled (on Monday).
I bet any money, the statue probably would have broke during shipment. I have a feeling that’s why I wasn’t supposed to get this one. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself. 😆
I’ve been searching for a used (but good) curio to put my Windstones in. I dreamt I went to an estate sale to pick one up. When I got there some lady was going to offer him more money for it (it was some kind of antique thing). I had only brought $500 with me, and she was willing to pay $700 for it. I was upset, then I realized the curio was FULL of Windstones. I told him she could have the curio, and I was willing to hand him over the $500 for all of his Windstones. He said yes. Ah… what a great dream! 😆
I had won a Grand Unicorn on ebay and was waiting for it come in. I didn’t have a tracking number for it, so I didn’t know when it was coming (it was driving me nuts!). I have never dreamt about unicorns, never! Horses, yes, but not unicorns. Well, one night I had a dream that something was chasing me, never saw what it was. A unicorn came to my aid and let me climb up on his back. He then broke into a powerful collected gallop. The feeling was so real, just like riding bareback. But the strange thing was… my Grand arrived the next day. That FREAKED me out! 😮
And I am tired of the dream where I go to class and they give a big pop test. Not only am I not prepared, it’s on a subject I know nothing about. In fact, half the time, I’m not even enrolled in the class. And no matter how many times I tell them I’ve already graduated, they insist I take it! BUT I’M DONE WITH SCHOOL! 🙄 OK, I told someone, hopefully I will no longer have them. 😈

Well, I called, and there will be no dragon for me. 😥
First, they said they never received a check. Second, when I inquired about the dragon, they said the one I wanted (supposedly put on hold for me) was no longer there. hmmm…. This retired piece that had been sitting there for who knows how long is (now suddenly) no longer there. The part that ticks me off the most is now I have to cough up money to get this check cancelled by my bank. I don’t like spending money and getting nothing in return. 😡
*sigh* I’m just going to let this roll right off, like water off a duck’s back. I’m just gonna suck it up and let it go, because if I dwell on this and contemplate on why this happened, it’s just going to make me angry… and that’s not the type of person I want to be.
I’m still pissed about having to cancel the check though.
At the moment, yes! But I want a set of everything! 😆
