I know I don’t reply much to you BDW, but you are in my thoughts!! I’m SO glad for you and your son! *hugs*

I was thinking the same thing…..Goodnight kisses could be difficult
We had mice at our old house. How did I know you may be asking….Well, because our golden retriever would catch them. Yes, our old, wouldn’t move if the house was on fire, dog. She would be SO proud of herself too!! Prance around with the tail hanging out her mouth 😀 . They would always be dead and soaking wet from being licked(probably to death), she never bit one….
Our cats never hurt one mouse.
This one other time, we were getting a new stove. My hubby wanted to pull out the old one and clean under it so when the delivery guys came they didn’t think we were slobs. I didnt want too, everyone has dust and hair under thier stoves, it’s normal right? Thank GOD I listened. There was a dead mouse under it!! I would have been so embarrassed if a stranger had seen it! The mice were coming in under a small hole under the stove it turns out. There was also a green crayon under there and little pieces of green crayon mouse poo too 😆
I haven’t either, I still have her Rosie wolf sitting with my collection making friends….I haven’t emailed her in a while, just assuming she is busy…
🙄 Wish I was loaded too! Jen, he is the most gorgeous dragon I have ever seen! LOVE HIM!
Ah yes, ofcourse! Addig insult to injury so to speak! Sucks all around! Atleast you were not seriously injured!
😥 Oh, just terrible news, I’m so sorry. You and yours will be in my thoughts. *hugs*
You are SO lucky! Someone was watching over you thats for sure! My husband got 2 or 3 broken ribs from going over his handle bars at 10mph in the driveway…….I’m guessing from the bills you did not have insurance?
I’m still working on one, put it down a LONG time ago and never picked it back up. Check out Youtube too, there is some good info there…
I can’t imagine having both a pup and a baby. Both always want to chew on something and don’t know enough not to share. Babies carry around cups and food and puppies like to steal cups and food. Puppies like to jump and chew and babies have really soft skin. Puppies grow fast and will soon be bigger then a baby… Personally, I would recomend a lab or a golden 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 years old. They are both very smart breeds and great with kids, but are puppies until they are 2 or 3. 2 excellent rescues are:

They are great to work with. We adopted from them.http://www.almosthomerescue.net/
They are mostly in Maine, but adopt out to many areas. My parents started fostering for them and now Mom is thier VP.One other is http://www.labs4rescue.com
They are all over the place on the east coast and have TONS of labs.It may be a better idea to go with a rescue instead of a shelter because a rescue has typically fostered a dog and can give you a better picture of thier personality. Just my 2 cents…

I hate it when they do that!! 😀 I have a griffin that is half naked, but his display side is done so he watches me from the book shelf…
I did this Kyrin too. I really like how he came out, but I think he would be a copyright issue if I were to sell him. I used this copper leaf stuff that has a flower on it in regular copper, orange, pinks and purples. They are neat, there are different shades, but they are all copper based. Anywho, the variations in color didn’t come out as visable as I wanted. So, unfortunatly, I think he looks really close to the male kyrin that was black and copper….but it’s cool for me because he gets to stay here on my new display shelves.
I finally have gotten out my brushes and had sometime to do some stuff besides the wolves for nessiemom. Here are 2 dragons, both are on ebay. I have a new muse too, but she isn’t quite done….I’m not super thrilled with the photos of the crimson dragon, she looks much better in real life and her orange interference shows up better then it does in the camera. The white girl I love so much I don’t want to sell her. With any luck no one will bid on her *crosses fingers*…
OMG, I’m so flabergasted! I was just on craigslist looking for kittens and what do I find? 2 ads about a lady ‘rehoming’ a dog and drove off with this adopters money when the adopter said she didn’t want to adopt the dog because he didn’t look healthy. Turns out this lady JUST picked up this dog from it’s original owner, turned around and posted it up for adoption at $200………Makes me wonder where Joe came from, and now I feel like an idoit who got scammed. Explains why this cat is still sitting in my basement!
Yes, Jennifer, that was my intention to get an adult cat. Now tho, I think I’m start from scratch and get a kitten. That way I KNOW what I am getting. Yes, we may have a few bites and scratches, but those will be from play, not habit.
You know, I’m not complaining, but I have had the hardest past couple months. Money is tight, the kids have had cabin fever because it’s been so cold, Calvin passed away, Christmas was stressful because money was tight, we have been dealing with health issues w/ the dogs, health issues with my husband(nothing serious, just lingering) and now this. All I was trying to do was something nice for my girl and instead my jesture turns to crap. I beleive in karma and man, I must be paying bigtime for something…too bad I don’t know what!
I have no idea how long it took. If I just sat down to do it until it was done, maybe 40-50 hours. It’s all the drying time that makes it tedious. I prefer to pastel because I suck w/ acrylics  and blending w/ them is a PITA. Pastels are so much easier for me. Plus, the finished product to me looks softer which is great for furred critters…
