the chinese dragon is A4, the red dragon is A3, they are for sale, but tomorrow at the Convention in Germany :/
if you want I can reserve them for you if they dont sell (I already have them in the auction registration unfortunately 🙁 )Our good family friends had it made in Asia, after the design on my homepage.

here’s one more artpiece for the artshow on thursday. This is Managarm, son of Fenrir, eating the moon and splattering blood across the sun and therefore opening the age of wolves, darkness on earth.
Norse mythology of the futuristic end of earth, Ragnarök. This legend can vary depending on source, but there is definitly moon-eating involved 😉
painting is watercolors on A2, using only red and black aswell a tiiiny bit of cyan for the moon.

anyhow, I quite often have to find names for my creatures. Sometimes they are not at all original like Velvina the velvet dragon (she still remains a sweety though). I try to listen to what name comes to me in the process. Of course I have a visualisation like a sculpture/painting but usually the name comes to me after the work is done. I sit down and think of relations of the charactere, what it represents. Often they are names related to the looks of the figure, may it be appearance or resemblance in personal view and then change a bit.
Races are harder. Sentient races even more. Because you have to keep in mind what they would want to be called. Else you could grab the classical science trick of Dracus Akeylus with the name of the “finder”.
Its important to take your time and listen to the name when it hits you. I found it useful to take whatever comes into my mind, and I think I only once used a name that was suggested (it was Diego for a doglike race). Have no fears or doubts in weirdness, I have weirdisms like Meme-Heyley and boredisms as False Gorgon too 😉PS: sounds like an awesome plot and characteres… when can we buy the published version? 😉
fin, cant quite be seen, but the splotches are new and some minor details on the gold has been changed. Didnt get around picturing those details yet. Want to sketch in it first.
here you can see how the sketchbook tightly fits in the coverplotting on the dragon idea, but may not get to do it soonish… *stares tight scedule*

It is rumored that she uses ProSculpt (expensive polymer, said to moon too) mixed with something else. SOmething. We’ll, try and try and experiment 😉

if you look close you can see the slightly white blotches, they appear beneath the “skin” and are highly annoying. And dont look to close, those mermaids are like… 4 years old…the golden compass… makes me the longest waiter, or can anyone beat december 7?

I know you said summer, but I believe thats the only one I am really excited about. And a tad bit HP, for the Thestrals mainly cause I am one of a huge CGI Critter freak 🙂
