Those are neat! Being a bit of newbie here, itβs interesting to see what others do outside of their Windstone obsessions.
I agree! Some people around here are amazingly creative and talented!
I like them both! The okapi has such lovely shading, and the green eyes are striking. Nice work!

My mom got her eBay account hijacked this weekend. They changed her password, changed her location to somewhere in Great Britain, and started a bunch of scam auctions before eBay caught it. Seems to be something going around.
I like that pewter muse. And the tail and main on the black unicorn look wonderful!
Thanks, you guys!
Those are cute, rockerbot! I especially like the blue fellow blowing his bangs up, and the frustrated writer oneβthat motion mustβve been hard to make smooth.
Her expression and little tongue are cute!
Isnβt that the way with websites, though.
I donβt think theyβre the same.
The Windstone one has the right front leg bent back like itβs caught in mid-action, and the scales on the shell have a larger variety in size than on the eBay turtle. Canβt even see the right hind leg of the Windstone one in the photo.
Just my two centsβ worth!
I finished two this week that had been in the works for a long time, and it feels so good I just have to babble about it everywhere.
I fell in love with them the first time I saw one on the internet way back when I was in college, but it was years later before I actually got to fulfill the dream of making one of my own.
Nowadays I usually make them to use as avatars on my LiveJournal account. Since I talk about the weather and the seasons more than enough, I figured I could make some for the seasons, with characters from my writing.
Hereβs autumn, that I finished a couple days ago.
I made one for spring as well, earlier this year.
Of course theyβre not half as nice once I squash them down to 100Γ100 pixels and under 40k for LiveJournal requirements.
I also enjoy making what I call βtrailer-avatars.β Came from watching too many movie trailers at the theatreβgave me the idea to make mini-trailers for my books.
So yesterday, nearly ten months after starting on it, I finally got my distractible self to finish the avatar for my first book.
I use all sorts of software with these, generally Poser, Vue 6 Esprit, PhotoShop Elements, and GIF Construction Set Professional. Iβve also made some from videos take with my digital camera. It has been fun learning and pushing myself in new directions!
I tried to look it up on eBay, but itβs saying itβs invalid.
I hope you have a fabulous time and sell LOTS!

I hope you made alot! Canβt you see the vultures circling?
Thatβs meant to be funny, not insulting
*Circles hungrily*
Thank you, Tom! Your work is appreciated!

The facial markings are darling!
