A badge is what people wear when they go to conventions…which shows their character and their chosen name. They are usually around 3X4″ big.
Hey again, sorry but they both just got bought up. Hope you don’t mind it, just had to go to the one who paid in first, you know?
Awesome, well let me know for sure via note or something. Also, my PayPal is Watergazer@Comcast.net
Glad to hear you’re not on it. If you know anybody that is please make them look it up on-line and see the devestating effects it’s having. The manufacturers lied to the doctors and patient in the beginning about what went into the drug, which is why so many women took it willingly (myself included), thinking it was the same as the Pill forms when it IS NOT. They have to admit it now but even so they keep selling it to women who don’t read that label or are warned.
Unfortunately now I’m unable to even have any form of hormonal birth control and have other related issues. Some people my firm is handling have died even and I know of one woman personally who’s pretty much lost the ability to safely bare children.
Under a dare a posted my work to a place called FurAffinity here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/watergazer and so have been posting new artworks there. Yes, I still am doing art and occassionally do Windstones, though they almost always are repeats of things I’ve done before that people want commissions on (hense why I haven’t posted to my gallery on Windstone lately). But more new PYOs will come so no worries, I’m just bogged down right now.
I am working hard on my werewolf anatomy book and have begun a presale for them. They will cost $35 each book which will be spiral bound and shrink-wrapped and pre-orders get a special antler carved necklace. The books will hopefully have around 200 pages, but will certainly hit 100 pages for sure. A CD will be available also but I haven’t figured pricing yet for that.
I will be a dealer at Midwest FurFest to sell the anatomy book and take conbadge commissions. Feel free to stop by if you can brave the furries.
I finally have some good news about my firm that I submitted my information to regarding my blood clots in the lungs and subsequent problems due to Ortho Evra birth control. My case is a good one and they feel they can win it, so they are taking on my case. I plan to keep everyone posted as often as I can on this matter because I feel every woman should know that the patch is a HUGLY NEGATIVE form of BC and shouldn’t even be on the market, but they keep on making the drug because they take in more profit from selling it than the lawsuits are taking away.
Thanks for all the advice guys! I’m sorry not to reply sooner but my email didn’t tell me I had replies for some reason.
I’ve been looking into stuff around here and taking advice where I could, and have been speaking to others who already own stores, and one guy in particular who’s giving up Windstones. Pretty much the outlook for the store I would want to open is grim. While there are few and far between stores offering gifts and hobby supplies, it seems there’s just not enough draw for it. We have a mall about 45 minutes away where there are larger named stores like Hallmark and what-have-you, and people go out there, not the town mall or smaller town stores. And even so, gift-type stuff doesn’t seem to be selling unless it is sports-related….so I gather. If it’s sports it flies pretty easy but if it’s anything else, even Precious Moments and classic names like that…turnaround is bad.
I spoke to one guy who owned a storefront and then decided to open a store out of his garage instead so as not to deal with the rents etc. Apparently he was able to classify his garage as a storefront and every couple days he’d open it and sell things from it in person and he made great profit that way…but again, all sports-related stuff.
The research so far looks really bad…it’s a real bummer. While I think I would have what it takes in heart to run a store, even with classes I probably wouldn’t have all the necessary know-how or support from friends like I’d surely need. Rents aren’t too awfully bad in the mall by me but then you’d only expect to see a handfull of customers a day…not enough…almost like you’d have to rely on Christmas sales. So I guess there’s a good reason why there aren’t any stores like the kind I want to open around here…they all tried it and flopped.
Bummer man.
Still available. I am somewhat against shipping outside the US, which I didn’t mention before, only because the shipping is really really high and probably wouldn’t be worth it unless you specifically wanted a soft-feather griffin. Shipping to Canada can run $20-25 if you bought both…shipping to Europe you don’t even want to know.
I have two unpainted Windstone Editions PYO (paint your own) Griffins available, one with blue and and the other with red eyes. They were the first run limited edition “Soft Feathre” variety, which had less detailed feathers then the newer version sculpts. They look just as good (most wouldn’t notice the difference unless they had each sculpt side-by-side), and are perfect for a beginner to use since it’s easier to blend colors on. They originally cost $30 a piece + $10 or so each for shippin’. I’m willing to sell each one for $25 each. Shipping will be $8 each (or $10 if you bought both) within the US. Let me know if interested!
Hey, long time no post, sorry, but I’ve been thinking of opening an actual physical location storefront, in a mall or perhaps it’s own building…however I really don’t have the management skills yet to do this and will probably take some classes if I look into this and like it based on what people say…so I am looking for anybody out there that either has experience with a storefront or knows somebody that does.
Yes, naturally I’d carry Windstones! I’d create a gaming/Gift and hobby store somce Windstones would be there. And help is appreciated.
One of the best dragons I’ve ever seen.
White primer people…don’t mess with that paint removal crap…seriously. Save yourself the time, effort, and worry and just use a light coating of white primer.
Oh, the stick figure and little lightning bolt-esque thing are petroglyphs. The commissioner likes the southwest and wanted the dragons to look as if they have camo-skin to blend in with the swirling rock patterns, and on their wings to show a little bit of ruins or pueblos like abandoned ancient dwellings that are part of the southwest. There is the classic arch of Utah on the Young, I believe it’s Utah, and the “White House Ruins” on the emp which I think are from Arizona but I can’t recall just now. I was given a slew of referances.
The emperor was especially difficult because I didn’t have a turntable to work on, so most of the time I had to hold it in my lap or with one hand…it got very heavy after a while! Then the little guy was supposed to match the big one, and for some reason it had all those little bumps all over it…made them all brown to match the larger one. I suppose they also could have been gold metallic.
Yes, they were commissioned from someone who didn’t just want the primered pieces. I was selling the primered ones on ebay and the person who bought them wanted me to paint them, so I said ok….and I’ve been wanting to see what a yellow-sheme dragon would look like on a Windstone anyways since I don’t think yellows have really been tapped into other than for goldens.Hey guys, a lot of you wanted to see these once done so here they are…
