I don’t know, I don’t think so but I’m asking now.
They also have an emerald coil for $140 with no scratches and things.
:sigh: what to do about the orientals though…I do prefer a broken one to a mint one…
The price difference is because the female has a broken horn, which I think I can fix. I don’t know if I should buy it though yet or not. I’m worried that if I don’t act soon I’ll lose it, but I don’t want to pay too much. Then again, all the other orientals on Ebay everyone’s gonna be fighting for so those prices may go higher.
Hmm, I am watching the ones on Ebay right now too, I just think they will all shoot so darn high before I could maybe snag one of these emeralds before it’s too late. What about the baby and father sun dragon price tags…$130 and $300? I have no concept of what these originally cost or what they ought to cost.
I found an emerald oriental (female one holding the orb in its claw) somewhere for $150…is that a lot to pay? I haven’t bought it yet. The Male with the orb in its mouth is $300, and the baby is $130…all emeralds.
I will most likely paint it to resell, I just can’t decide right now on the horses and exactly how to go about the repaint. I’d love to maybe glue on my actual brush to the piece too…it’ll be interesting. If this goes wlel maybe I’ll try to paint a Breyer model.
Hmm, It may look weird if the tail alone is colorful besides stripes. I could take artistic license with it and use the colors but in a different way, like add more blue and purple on the body…or stick with a deep purple and lime green dragon…you pick.
The more I debate it in my head, the more I am thinking it will just be easier to list them all one at a time on EBAY…it just breaks up a set that way though. Oh well. If I list a raffle on my forum I know only very few people would take interest since it’s mostly my conventions and furry art crowd, and I know I wouldn’t paint a PYO to sell at one of the cons. It’s not that type of crowd. Well, we’ll see how this goes. I haven’t made a final decision yet. A PM typoe thing could work I suppose…I don’t know, maybe I’ll just paint the set and see what happens in the interim.
Aw man, after seeing this I don’t know what to do for my part of the trade…stick with a kiRin or go griffin…what to do…!
Wouldn’t the oriental looks great in black gold? With a black mane and the colorful scales.
I might try for one unless they go up to over $200.
Wow, learn something new every day! I will have to check out my state laws, but I’ve heard of raffles all the time here, and have done it at MFF con every year I’ve gone without complaint. I’ll have to look into it to be sure. I suppose in this case I will move the raffle to my forums. Sorry guys.
Also, I think I could mail out a print ACEO to everyone who enters, that is a good idea. I could create an ACEO just for the purpose.
The price per ticket is a bit of a problem. $20 is too much, but $5 is too little I think. It all depends on interest though, you’re right.
I don’t know if anyone else did? I did try to hold a contest for a custom painted job in exchange for ACEO arts but didn’t reach the quota of entries I was looking for to finalize a winner. It sorta died down and then my life got all crazy and I just let it slip away I guess.
I would have to put down a cash minimum to this I think, so that if I didn’t reach the cost of the sculpts at least, I would refund everyone their monies and cancel the raffle. I’d hope that wouldn’t happen though.
I can’t wait to hold a chick in my hand. I may have to buy one just to see it in person, and then give it to the forum mebers after I’ve had my fill…or tade-up for a colored version.
