You have your friend who works at Salvation Army let you know if anything Windstone comes their way! And guess what, it WORKS!!!
I just went and picked up a white dragon from her. I forget what it’s called, but it’s the little one that’s curled up. White curled mother? It’s in AWFUL shape. Several cracks, chips and scratches. Also, whoever owned it before wrote on the bottom. A little love note, it looks like. I’ll take pictures later when my husband gets home with my camera.
With all these stories of blatant animal abuse going around, I think we need a thread dedicated to our pets. Here are mine!
First up, we have my trio of terror. From left to right, Kaida, Raven, Loki.
This is Maxwell (my husband). He needs walked OFTEN. XD
Last, but not least, my rescue boy, Titan.
I also mentioned I have fish tanks, but they are mostly for live rock and plants. I have ONE fish.. haha.
-You sell one of two of your beloved saltwater tanks (a hobby of mine), so you can turn around and spend it on windstones. (I did this today…)
-You check the boards at LEAST once a day, to see if anyone is selling the things you’ve been looking for, among other things.( Oh yeah..)
-You get so excited about posting things on the forums that any sense of grammar, spelling and punctuation you once had is now nonexistent.(Mhm)
-You haven’t even received your tax return yet, and you might already have it all spent… on windstones..(check!)
-You know you probably post too much on the forums, but you really can’t stop yourself.(Guilty as charged.)
-You buy new shelving and display cases for the new things you’ll be getting, before they even get to you. (also did this….)So, lets hear yours ladies and gentlemen!!!! What makes YOU a windstone editions addict?
You know, I should probably do the same thing.. lol. Last night, on top of my normal terribad typing, I was *really* tired. This has been a tough weekend for me. We had a death in the family, and my husband has been in AZ for the funeral. Not used to being away from him at all. I hadn’t been sleeping well. But too much had to be done here, so I was not able to go with him. So from now on, I will spell and typo check my posts! Haha! (Ahem, probably still won’t catch them all.)
LOL! Yes… That’s what I meant. But I can’t type for crap..
It’s gorgeous. If I didn’t have a few other transactions pending or in the process, I would bid on it!

Kidding, though that does sorta look like my hair when I first wake up.. 😉 But really, here’s me. 🙂
For me it’s a candy bar called a Skor bar!! Mmmm…delish!
My birthday is August 28th!
Are you still doing this??? I’m late… >.<

Last fall, as I was walking my dog, I saw a kitten get grazed by a car. She wasn’t run over, but I did hear a loud knock and a cry. So I walked over fearing the worst, but she was still alive. Her bowels had loosened, and she was just lying there panting heavily, but there was no blood.
This was a half feral kitten, part of a litter of 4 who, along with their mother, were fed by a few people in the neighborhood. Her mother and 3 siblings were hanging around on the other side of the street, waiting to see what I would do. As it was, the kitten was too shocky to run away, and I was pretty sure that if I left it there it would die either of shock or hypothermia (it was late fall).
So I took off my coat wrapped her in it and took it to my vet who was, luckily, only two blocks over.
The vet looked her over, manipulated all of her limbs, her neck and her back; he checked her all over, seeing how she reacted to pressure and various manipulations. Verdict was she was probably okay but there was really no way to see if she had internal damage without some pretty expensive X-Rays. He gave her some painkillers, told me to bring her home, keep her warm and not to feed her anything. If she survived the night she would be all right, and if she didn’t at least she wouldn’t be in any pain and she would be warm.
Well, she went on to survive the night and I eventually found her a home with some friends of mine. They named her Lily and made a housecat out of her. Although maybe hellcat 😉 might be closer to the truth as she is a very active kitten and likes to get into all sorts of trouble. But her little mistress loves her with all her heart!
Bless your heart! You did a great service for that kitty one that day!
Everyone needs to vent now and then! I don’t blame you.
He looked to be in pretty amazing shape. Even still had the price tag on the bottom, and not even THAT was worn off. I would call him, but I don’t know how early is “too early’ for people.. I’ll probably wait til around noon.
I won’t use my oils, I swear! 😆
Alright then. I’m sorry about that. 🙁 I’ll go ahead and delete the link.
