Happy Birthday! 😀
Happy Birthday! Save some cake for me. 😀
Just to let you know, she just got here. Her traveling box got just a little wet. Right now we are styling her hair. On Saturday I’m going to take her to St. Jacobs and the Farmers Market. (I’d rather go on a Thursday but, I work tomorrow and I’ll probably end up working next Thursday as well.) Hope for sun! It’s been a little rainy around here this summer.
It all depends on which leg is broken. If it’s one of the back legs then you can support the back end by looping a towel around the belly just in front of the legs. (At least that’s a good way to help older dogs with hip displasia. Sp?)
A sheepskin pad in the crate should help with reducing the bed sores.
Poor puppy…. 🙁
The reason I posted that last post was because it seemed people were ganging up on Rusti. I knew that you Ski wouldn’t be asking for medication advice or anything like that. You have shown to me that you have a knack for saving animals. Funny, I never thought of steam until after Rusti suggested it. But, right now my mind is on too many other things…..
I’m sorry Katie Boo is sick. Giving fluids is easy. But, you know your cat. You’ll know when it’s time to let her go. I’m sorry you have to deal with this. It’s never easy. Hugs.

Mmmmm….cheesecake! Chocolate cheesecake!
Cheesecake isn’t a luxury…. not at all. 😆
I don’t want to get involved with a fight over weather it’s alright to ask a question online about pet problems or not. I agree with Rusti. Being a vet tech, and a dog groomer (stupid how many people would go to me for health advice instead of a vet. Um, dog groomer not vet. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to tell people that.) But, being a vet tech, I’ve seen horrible instances where people have tried to “fix” a problem by themselves.
While asking what can I do about a sick dog until the vet opens especially where you can’t get to an emergency vet right away is alright. Not to offend anyone but, I wouldn’t try anything without a vets okay. It’s a good idea to stick the number to the emergency vet where you can easily find it. Some vets even have an after hours line that you can call.
There were times when as a dog groomer I did know what was wrong with the dog. But, since I was a groomer I had keep my mouth closed and tell them to see a vet. It’s no use giving advice when if you were wrong they could sue the pants off of you.
I don’t mind giving advise on how to nurse your sick dog or cat. How to force feed or force them to drink. If they have a high fever sometimes you have to do it. If you can’t afford to put your pet on an IV. Or how to give first aide. (Not that I think you’d be online if you had to give first aide…. But, just about anything else, I stay away from giving advise.
Happy Belated Birthday! 😀
No, Draco had a ruby lap before Melody gave him the other. I believe he’s selling the other one.
He will be put down because of poor vet care…. I won’t go into it here. If anyone wants to know they can read it on myspace but, I’ve only made it available to friends.
The best one to read is the one I posted for today. http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog&pop=1&indicate=1
Wow, I’m sorry Phoenix. I thought your asking prices were reasonable. Please don’t let an ignoramus drive you away from the forums.
Thank you frozen. I’ve sent a PM to you. 😀
