I would say so since I have NEVER heard of a fish taking food directly from humans hand

You never had Oscars! We had two and we loved them to death (literally). 😥 We didn’t know feeding them live food would give them hole in the head disease. I still feel bad and miss them – they were smart, beautiful, wonderful fish.
I have never heard of hole in the head disease???
Oh, I’ve heard of that. Awful. There are alot of very discusting fish diseases and parasites.

I dunno. There are some fish with the same brain siye that are smarter than that. Like goldfish. I wouldn-t think of fish as intelligent or anything, but I-ve taught mine a few simple tricks.

Goldfish, tricks? They have a two second attention span. They don’t even remember if they ate or not. At least mine didn’t. When I first moved away I left my large aquarium at my parents. My mom gave them a years worth of food in less than a month. They didn’t live long in that mess. I took a smaller aquarium and moved what I had left. I only have a pleco left. He’s now too big to be put in with other fish. He’ll just attack them. The only fish he gets along with are betas. They get along very well. I’ve only been able to teach them to take food from my fingers. I guess that was a trick.

😆 Admittedly fish tricks aren’t sophisticated, but I’ve got a big orange comet who will nibble on my fingers whenever I put my hand in the tank, whether there’s food in them or not, and if I hold my hand curled and very still he’ll swim over and “sit” in it. I think that’s a good job of learning for a fishy.
Hum, actually you’re right. I had a shubunkin that would “sit” in my hand. I guess that’s a trick. And all of my goldfish would nibble on my fingers. I had to be carefull though. My mom was babysitting (he was an older kid) the kid managed to catch one of my goldfish, dropped it on the floor, then proceded to “play” with it. My poor fish. I found him and saved my fish but, it was close. I guess the kid didn’t understand that most fish can’t breath air.

I’m sure she’ll love it. I would have loved to bid, but, I couldn’t afford to bid after the first day. Congratulations, to both of you.

Well, I at least lucked out on the sculpture. That was clear, and I have an extra one so I don’t have to order. But, now for the planning. Ah, I’m so afraid to start. What if I totally blotch it up? I have an idea, but, I don’t know if it will work. Excuse me while I fret over this. (Hopefully I’ll have all my hair and nails intact by the end of this)

I think somewhere I heard there was going to be another EmPea batch but don’t quote me on that

Well, thanks to Jade I have an EmPea, I want a flame/russet, I would have liked a white as well. I didn’t really have the money right now anyways. Sucks being broke.

Darn it. I knew I should’ve bought two. Next time I’ll get a couple extra if I can for people who miss. Sorry, you guys. 🙁

If I’m not on next time, could someone grab one for me? I still need a Russet or Flame (or whatever it’s called), but I got the Emerald Peacock and the White.
If they ever put them up on a Tuesday than I’ll be more than happy to get one for you. If they keep going up on Monday than well, I’ll be in the same boat.
