And I would adore a dark blue/grey or dark blue/gold (straw color, I think is the proper name -g-) combo myself 😀

Wanted one of those buggers for a while now 😀
Thank you! 🙂
aw, you need at least one poad… they’re just the utmost in cute, giving you a happy smile whenever you are near. 🙂
I put my black poad right on my workdesk; that way, even if the day is utter crap, I have one of my poad pair smiling at me, and I imagine it muttering happily to itself like my parrot used to do when he was in an especially good mood. 😀
I think Melody stated that the Poads(tm) come from the comic book she is working on (Reptangle) and that the Poads are partners (friends, or really neat pets in some way) of the Wizards in the comic.
A picture of a few was posted to the forum way back when and we all fell in love, and Melody decided to share them with us… And most of us tend to adore them, even if they do talk by farting (hey, the card said tiny popping sounds that comes from their butt area) and poop tiny pretty stones that you can make into jewelry. 😉
Now watch, I remembered that totally wrong 😀

Hmm when I was in Italy…..a lot of men were wearing pink…and they looked pretty real…
although…that was a long time ago…and pink is so out of style for men now….LOL
Real as in flesh and blood? Probably. But pink is not a manly color, and guys who wear it are effeminate.
Um, wrong.
My father in law had a pink shirt, as well as a pink SUIT he wore for years, and by the many women who threw, and still DO throw themselves at him, and the way he’s reciprocated, *effeminate* is nothing of the sort when he’s wearing either. You might not like it personally on a man, but it’s hardly effeminate on every single man.
Since Muses were mentioned… any hope for one dark blue eye, one grey/lt blue eye?
I’d love a brown eye/dk blue eyed one but don’t think there ARE any brown eyes for the Muse. 😀

Why? That’s kinda how my partner and I got together… some gossip, some coffee and more than 15 years later, we’re still together? 😀
skigod377 wrote:Thank you! And Nyte, that is exactly what I was hoping for. Something small she can take with her to the hospital. 🙂
GLad I could help– and yep, that is just the right size, trust me!
Hope your friend feels better very soon! ::sending healing thoughts::
Hi-
Since the thread was bumped, I have a question. 😀
I need to poke at the budget, but would love to know appx when more of the VF Fledgies will be made? I missed all the other runs and really wanted one. 🙂

I’ve had Healing for months now and I find it inmmeasurably calming when I’m in pain. THe egg shape fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and tracking the whorl shape gives you something to concentrate upon when it’s bad. I use it in the same way many people use meditation beads, too. It is smooth, and cool, and does feel like it radiates healing.
The nice thing is that it is so small and portable, and your fingers are drawn to touch it to soothe yourself.
Personally I have the ivory one, but as I have Serenity in the onyx, I can say both colors are lovely and fit the sculpture.
Hope this helps!

I **like** the feel, as it is a nice matte feel that differentiates her from the other, but was wondering if there was a different process in painting this one? Is the black base color a different material thna the butternut? Or is it the irridescent color (my other is the first butternut, no irridesence to him) that makes it feel differently?
That is because of the temprature. When it is hot the finish and the paint go on differently, because they dry really fast. It has been VERY hot here!
::grin:: you’re preaching to the converted– I live in Costa Mesa, and am very glad we have AC. 😀
Thanks for the reply– I love her slight texture. It makes her oddly ‘touchable’ 😀

I was wondering….. im a little confused about the numbers of poads. Now correct me if i am wrong, they are limited to this site? and can only be brought in the store.
The butternut one came out first then the blue butternut and now the lovely black one.
How meny of each are made? The same amount in batches when ever you have time? I think i read somewhere that you painted 60 black ones, there there more or less of the butternuts around? When will you stop painting the butternuts in blue?
Wow so many questions i just wanted it cleared up. Sorry to pester you melody!
I think i will run off and buy a blue butternet poad later this evening. (Hope there are some in the store)Ooh and what colour/number poad is up next?
Poads are “limited production” right now. They are only available from us from this site, though we may offer them wholesale to stores in the future, and maybe try some on ebay, just for fun.
I am trying to get a feel for the right number of these to make at a time. We sold around sixty of the first butternut colored ones, so that is how many I made of these. I want to make enough enough so that everyone who wants them can get them, but not have a ton of left overs around, taking up space. I mean, we aren’t exactly advertising these, only people on this forum are even aware of Poads(tm)! There is a small number of the metallic blue and butternut ones still left over, six or so of each, I think (last time I looked). When those are gone, I probably won’t be painting more for a long time, if ever.
I don’t know what color is next. Mebbe the greenish one? Or the silver and white one?
OOO, silver and white with the darker blue eyes please?
Heck, I’d even learn how to squeak for that one! 😀

You can see all the colors in the shot GB took of hers that she picked up from the factory.

Poad.. Poo.. Jewelry?Pass… man, them poad-toting wizards are wierd… 😉
Very nice– I could think of a lot of friends and relatives I’d have to get them for if they were small like Maya’s smaller ‘pods’. And if they came out in that same white and black, just think, no worries about paint colors!
spotty butted babies…
oh lords… I had sworn I would NOT try for anything limited edition… but since the only way I’m going to be able to get spotty butted chicks is this way… there goes the bank account..
sorry– ever since I saw the prototype paintjob that Melody did with spotty bottomed chicks that looked amazingly like my cat as a kitten, I’ve craved one. 😀
can…. not… resist….
