Well what i’ve heard was that the first castings of the grand unicorns had the thicker tails and i think a thinner waste or something like that but im not 100% sure about what was revised. Here’s what Astral’s castle said: “This was the original casting of the Grand Unicorn that was replaced with the more familiar one. Windstone used this photograph in their catalogs, even though the available model differed slightly. It is uncertain how many of the original version were actually sold, but it is probably very few. Later, these castings were painted up for the limited production Grand Unicorn (Black).” The pictures in the store and that are shown in other stores are the test version.
Sorry if this has been asked already but…. Since the black grand unicorns that were sold on ebay were painted using the older version of their mold (with the thicker tail) is it possible that in the future the newer mold of the grand unicorn could be painted in the old black color? Maybe as a limited production or something? My family of black unicorns just doesn’t seem complete without the big guy 😀
I have an emerald emperor(red eyes) I’d like to sell since he’s not being appreciated enough 🙁 . He would be mint except for some of his gold highlights along his tail need a touch up, not very noticeable and a pretty easy fix I think. I paid $400 for him so I’d like to get around that, however I’d also be willing to trade him for either a peacock old warrior or a peacock lap dragon, or both and i’d be willing to pay out some extra money for both. They emailed me back saying that insurance was an additional $2.00 and that the $10 was an error. I thanked them for re-checking that and paid them. I can’t wait to see her in person I don’t have any white dragons yet except for the scratcher I have on layaway with asral’s castle, and I obviously havn’t seen him in person yet.
I won that white lap dragon and I asked the seller to add insurance since it wasn’t included, let me know how much it was and I would pay for it. I got an email from them this morning telling me insurance is $10 extra dollars….I’ve done a lot of shipping and insuring and I’ve never spent more than 2.70 on insurance. I sent them an email back telling them this and asking them where they got that estimate from. What do you guys think? I only thought good things about them up until now. They seem to be confident about how to pack and they’re answering all my emails..but $10 dollars for insurance?
I also had that happen once. Ebay told me to wait seven days, I did, and then I filed a non paying dispute or whatever they’re called. That was enough to get their attention and they paid within a day of me filing the dispute. Hope everything works out.
I was also wondering about lay aways… would windstone ever consider doing layaways the way astral castle does? That would make it a lot easier to buy those special pieces only offered in the store.
I know the factory is busy right now but I was wondering if when things settle down if we were going to see more secret keepers in retired colors like I dunno…maybe… emerald 😀 ? Sorry if this has been asked before.
How about some of the saltwater angel fish, the large and dwarf species. My favorites are the coral beauties and the flame angels. ( but make sure you find really good specimens since their colors and patterns differ a lot.)
Well at least you get to keep your monies now 😀 I personally wouldn’t have refunded the money. Even if she opened a dispute about it being different than advertised she agreed to fixing it and you had proof of that. Glad it all worked out so nicely though… so far… I hope she doesn’t change her story again.
Thanks for telling me those dimensions. I think i’ve only found one cabinet that was 14″ deep. I’ll have to keep looking
